I want to like this so much more than I am able to. First the good stuff. This is a fantastic speaker. The HomePod coupled with Apple Music is a great combination. The music fills the room, is rich, and clear. I have tried several standalone speakers, most connecting through Bluetooth, and the HomePod has bested them all in sound quality. Now the not-so-good stuff. Siri, the familiar assistant, is nearly impotent. There’s almost nothing outside of playing music that it has successfully performed for me. And even in the music area it falters. For example, I figured surely Siri and the HomePod could create a station or play an audiobook, but it can’t. At least it can’t play an Audible audiobook (which, honestly, I half expected as Audible is Amazon’s app). Siri can’t do anything in my house with the smart devices I have set up, whereas Alexa is all over it. Alexa is straight up better than Siri by light years. My hope is that Apple will get on the ball and roll out a great update that will drastically improve the HomePod’s assistant abilities...but, I’m not holding my breath. And that’s a shame, because this area seems right up Apple’s ecosystem alley, connecting and supporting all of it’s technology in a well integrated system. This feels like a gaping hole in that system out of which Amazon is siphoning valuable potential. Meanwhile, Amazon’s Alexa is adding Apple Music to its repertoire soon. I’ve adopted Alexa now for my smart home gadgetry, and it’s going to be tough for Apple to pry me loose from it, even if they start showing some love to the HomePod assistant functionality. But, man, that HomePod speaker? And having two in a stereo pairing? Amazing.

Great product, great price! If you’re looking to buy a HomePod and not break the bank this is the one!

Love the smaller design and works great in smaller rooms where I needed to deliver sound and Siri .

Best darn little thing I’ve added to my smart home. Siri wakes me up, tells me about my upcoming appointments, the weather and more. Turns everything on and off in my home and basically keeps me balanced. As an audiophile I can’t say much about the sound except it’s decent for me what it is. I use it 20-40x daily on average for commands, phone calls and other info. Highly recommended.

So this is my first HomePod I am starting with the mini I am eventually switching out Alexa to apple so I can use one eco system. So far using this device its HomeKit has been a dream it works flawlessly.

Nice little speaker. Not great but good. If you use HomeKit, it’s very handy. Still learning about it. Also have Amazon Echo.

Excellent, we have 2 HomePods this has very good sound.

I am impressed with the sound from this speaker. I wish the volume could just a tad louder because I like my music loud, but it has a nice sound and deep bass sound. I purchased two. Even though both are not in the same room as recommended for pairing, I can pair both for surround sound (one is in the living room and one is in the bedroom).

It sounds great and works well with my other apple products, but it requires a bridge to work with cert items- kind of frustrating... worth the price

The apple home pod is very convenient for your apple using family. I love how I am able to use it as a speaker, and ask Siri questions. I love how I can use the 2 I have to drop in and talk to someone in the other room when I need to.

So much sound in such a small device. I bought 3 to make a surround sound unit out of my living room!

Looks a bit like an overweight flying saucer, but makes life much easier. Would definitely recommend.
