Love my mini! I have three in total now and I love how you can connect them to have a more surround sound and of course more speakers means more loudness! They are small so they only get so loud but if you’re not looking to host a loud party with one speaker, you’ll be fine.

    Best home assistant I've tested

I have used all the major home assistant for music and home automation and have to say so far the HomePod so far is the best. Alexa, Google home, and home assistant with local AI all have there strengthens and weaknesses, but ultimately HomePod is better at understanding my commands. I will say I am using Home Assistant as the back end for this, and the integration of home automation functions is a little wonky, but easy enough to setup and get working. What i don't love? Spotify is not supported and HomePod literally can't integrate properly, so if you use apple music, you're good to go, if you don't you're likely out of luck. I have been forced to use an iPad to cast Spotify to the speaker of my choice. In my house I'm using two minis and the big HomePod. The big HomePod could be better from a music quality standpoint, the minis are pretty decent given the size, but I wouldn't use them for listening to music. Despite the music issues, I still give it give stars because I was expecting the apple ecosystem is exclusive and doesn't integrate well, and I am reviewing the mini, not the Apple ecosystem.

I have been waiting for apple to come out with this product!! Finally its here, amazing apple tech packed in a softball sized speaker! don't let the size fool you the sound quality is amazing. It took seconds to set up and the features are a breeze to use, literally anyone can use this. Excited to finally have this in my apple ecosystem as I felt the original version is a little too pricey and the size of it wasn't necessary for the space I need it for. The only con for me at this point is the length of the braided cord, could be a little longer imo.

Decent sound… Especially if you’re coming from an Amazon Echo Dot. If you’re spoiled by the original HomePod, you may be a little disappointed. But overall not bad for the price and size.

Wow, the sound clarity and volume that this small speaker is able to produce is absolutely incredible. I recently moved my big office HomePod to the living room for a stereo setup and this HomePod mini replaced it. For an office, bedroom, kitchen, etc, this is a fantastic speaker. If you don't like Siri, you most likely won't like the HomePod mini. However if you're in the Apple ecosystem, this smart speaker fits in well and shows why a little more expensive product can be far superior to the old hockey puck smart speaker.

For Product: I’m happy with the HomePod mini and it works ax expected. Purchase Experience: before heading to the store I checked to make sure the store I wanna price match with is in the approved list and once at the register, the cashier asked the manager if they can match the price and the manager said “ no, because the offer is online only.” I had to step aside and go through the policy again and found out that as long as the product is ready to ship, and the store is in the list of approved competitors, they should honor the price match. I had to go to the cashier and show them the policy and the cashier had to “convince” the manager to follow Best Buy policy. The price from the competitor was below the minimum allowed price, which I was ok with whatever the minimum allowed price is. (Needed to have it on the same day). The other thing is that the website shows that the product comes with 4 offers, and cashier told me that the customer cannot choose which one to receive. (He tried to see if he can choose, but he couldn’t. It’s the system’s limitation)

Can't say enough good things about these. The sound in a stereo pair is just mind blowing for such a small device. I do love the original HomePod and I wish that Apple wouldn't have quit making them, but these are very good and will be happy with them till the new HomePod full-size comes back. Only con is a delay when using them as external speakers with a Mac. Other than that perfection.

I am an audio professional, in the business since 1974. By no means am I saying that these are the best speaker on the market, because they aren't. (I also own a Bowers and Wilkins Formation setup and the B&W's are amazing, but 10x the price! BUT, FOR $99 THEY ARE AWESOME. If your listening preferences are RAP, then pass them by. But if you like 'FLAT, EVEN Frequency Response', they are pretty amazing. They won't blow you out of the room, but their volume is darn good. Their connectivity with Apple products is also phenominal.

ok if you haven't noticed i buy a lot of apple products! I am replacing other brands/products at work. Apple to apple just works so flawlessly. these are amazing. I didn't realize that using these in a work setting with all of our ipads, iphones, and macs, that it would come up on everything when its playing music. I think that is on me though i havent searched out changing settings and fine tuning. but they sound amazing and are super simple to set up. love them

I’ve had it for a few week but I love this little speaker. I use it mostly for audio from my TV (connected via Apple TV - connects through Bluetooth so should be possible through other Bluetooth-enabled TVs). It has brilliant sound, especially for films. The bass on it is the most noticeable difference compared to my TVs speakers. It is also so simple and fast to connect to any iOS device, so if you just get home you can easily connect to the HomePod and continue listening to your music or podcast.

I was really worried buying this speaker because of the other reviews I read online. However, I love it! I am already trapped in the Mac ecosystem so this was easy to use. I like that it hooks to my Apple Music. The best feature is that the music still plays when I take calls or do other things like watch Netflix. That wasn't the case for the Bose Colorlink 2. I also like that when it has played through my playlist it automatically starts playing recommended music. And that it doesn't require my phone to be in range.
