The sound quality of the speaker is phenomenal. However, you need to be deep in the Apple ecosystem to fully enjoy using the HomePod. Apple Music support only, no Spotify, no direct Bluetooth connection, airplay only. There are quite a few features that need to be added that are coming in future software updates, so, if you don’t have all Apple products, this isn’t necessarily the best choice. For those deep in the Apple ecosystem, it’s a great device.

I bit the bullet and paid the money for this big speaker. My main reason was to setup apple home with this speaker. I rarely listen to music on it. Good sound quality and bass. I eventually ended up buying a couple of more mini speakers to support this one. This is discontinued as of this writing.

I love it! Having an I phone I definitely enjoy this more than Alexa or Google.

Forced to open iphone or ipad to view most “hey, siri…” queries that coukd just be announced instead.

The speaker syncs perfectly with my iPhone and allows music to be played throughout my house.

Sound on this is amazing, price was a little too steep for a fancy stereo, so we ended up taking it back.

I purchased two HomePod minis. I am a long-time satisfied user of Apple products, but I cannot recommend the HomePod mini to other customers who are considering purchasing the HomePod mini. I have continuously experienced issues with keeping a Wi-Fi connection. Currently the only solution to fix the problem is to keep resetting the HomePods everything it drops the Wi-Fi connection, which happens to be a lot. I've tried repositioning the HomePods to various locations in the room, but nothing seems to work in reference to losing Wi-Fi connection. From the reviews I've read here and on other online sites this issue is widespread. I find it hard to believe this issue wasn't known about before the product was released to the public. For a company with Apple's reputation to release this product with this kind of significant Wi-Fi connection problem is mindboggling considering the speakers must be connected to the Wi-Fi to work. I guess this time the product doesn't, "just work" according to Apple's slogan. I expected a much better speaker.

The best thing I have in my house. Love that I can use Siri from my phone to connect to the HomePod!

Lots of delay when you sync this up with Mac or iPhone.

Good sound and portability. I also have the Sonos 5 so the Homepod doesn't meet that standard. I'm not sure it's apples to apples though as the Homepod is clearly a smaller design and the variance is power and bass (in Sonos play5 favor) which should adjust based on size. Main difference is my wife can connect to the Homepod from her iphone and we can move it around the house fairly easily.
