First thing -- Apple HomePod is meant for Apple Music subscribers and those who want to listen to music in their house in the background every day, while cooking, working, playing, relaxing and anything else you do at home where music can enhance an activity. (Dancing like no one is watching included.) Second, it is the most useful if you have Apple and/or HomeKit products. You will need an iPhone or iPad to even set it up. Siri may not be the brightest, but frankly I don't need to order an Uber, buy Amazon stuff sight unseen or have a pressing need to know a Ferret's average length. I love the HomePod so much I bought two! Yes, I am anxious for Apple to update the software for stereo and house connected music playing, but I am ok with waiting because I get so much benefit from it now. It is liberating to be able to play music - any kind I wish to hear at any volume I desire - by simply asking Siri. I love adding reminders, using the timer and alarms, and, yes, I have asked Siri to do a measurement calculation for me while I am cooking. I have Hue lights throughout the house and it is wonderful to just speak into the air and have the lights turn off or on. Does anyone really need the convenience ? Of course not. But once you get used to integrating "Hey Siri ...." into your daily life, it feels like it has always been that way. A small step towards the Jetson's way of life. Now if only I could purchase a flying car...

Great sound, easy to connect. So far it has worked as advertised. Works with apple tv and from our phones and ipads.

Well it sounds great. The only thing is that I thought this was wireless. It’s not. So that’s the only downside of it.

This speaker is not by any means the best, but does its job well. Pair them with another one and thats when it shines

WOW! I got this to replace my Google Home Mini in the bathroom and this is by far better than any of those little speakers. The sound is impressive (could use a little bass) overall and it makes my morning routine so much more enjoyable. Plus with AirPlay 2 you can use it with other Homepods or Sonos around the home and it is truly spectacular. Beyond impressed with how the sound turned out.

Apple mini has a great sound and easy to setup. Like the color.

The item is a decent product, but some of its features are lacking. You should be able to set alarms, however for some reason that is not an accessible feature. Other wise it’s a great product.

I've been using apple product for years. Packs a lot of sound for a small speaker and compatible with all my devices.

Excellent product for what it is. You don’t get the mini for a room to seriously enjoy your music with. The mini is for the rooms where you could use quick voice assistance and subpar listening experience in the background. I actually used mine in the bathroom to just listen to music while I shower and communicate with Siri while all my great thoughts and ideas come to me while I’m showering; telling Siri to remind me later or make a note of something. Great for kitchen or some office room. The regular HomePod can just as well be used in the same settings but it makes more sense to dedicate the original HomePod and the regular HomePod 2 to rooms where you predominantly use for entertainment because that is what they’re designed for. The Mini is an auxiliary HomePod, like a HomePod junior for rooms where you need the assistance of Siri and won’t be spending a lot of time in and definitely not using for entertainment purposes.
