Good speaker, Over-priced, Mediocre

Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Honestly, I bought this for Siri homekit integration, and so I could use Apple Music and access my calendar, messages, etc on a smart speaker. It’s a good sounding speaker, but honestly Google Nest Mini’s are a much better bang for your buck. I decked out my parent’s entire house with google nest mini’s for the same amount of money that I spent on one (1) homepod mini for my suite. Plus, chromecast with Spotify is better than Airplay with apple music.

Great Speaker Good Assistant

I personally like it far more than the google or amazon style ones simply because of the speaker quality. The sound is excellent and works out great for what I have in my home for smart home features. Homekit takes some getting used to but it works great if you have the right products. If you want a great speaker first and assistant second this is your profuct hands down.

It’s great for a very small room like a bathroom - nothing to spectacular about the sound quality - it’s clear & loud like most apple products are. The issue is the set up of being used by multiple devices & the Bluetooth in order to sync to play music. It takes a simply sync & play task into a project of learning getting it to play music from specific apps or someone else phone when they are using it.
