Easy setup and a nice addition to any apple Home ecosystem

I was shocked by the amount of sound that I got out of this homepod. even though it's loud in one room, in other rooms it's not as loud. which is a good thing, because I hate turning the music down if I'm working in one room. good to know I won't bother the ppl in the other room

Setup couldn't be easier. Just hold the iPhone with the Apple ID you want to use for your HomePod and the software does the rest. You'll be ready to go in minutes. I bought it as the second HomePod in a stereo pair. The sound is fantastic. I couldn't be happier.

Excellent Speaker, don't net the size file you... it really fills the room with music.

First off, understand that the HomePod acts as its own device and not really an extension of your iPhone. You can airplay to the HomePod from your phone but the HomePod will take over the source leaving your phone open to play it's own music. You can control the HomePod from your phone but you have to specifically select the HomePod in the Music app to do so, by default the Phone will show what it is playing on the phone and not the HomePod. Is this a problem, not really but it does take some getting used to. The HomePod will sync to your AppleID so you can access your calendar etc BUT it has its own app for alarms and does not sync to you phone alarms. Viewing the set alarms on your phone is stupid, yes stupid as you have to open the Home App and then open the HomePod. I get the sense that Apple is trying to force you to use Siri to control the HomePod. If this is your thing then you won't have any issues. I had to adapt to using Siri for everything. Also Siri is no Alexa so don't expect it to act like Alexa. Siri is simply not that smart and can't handle commands or actions like Alexa. If you know Siri's limitation's you won't be disappointed. The sound is amazing! Really more than what I expected. My final verdict- I'm going to get another one when Best Buy drops the price back to 199.

Sound quality is great but there are often pairing issues or cutting during music. Difficult to pair in a mesh system.

This is what I choose for Christmas gift to my brother and his family and almost a month later they can’t stop talking about all the things that they do with the home pod and how happy they are with this product. I nailed it!

Sounds great, not as good as the full size HomePod but. For $100 you can’t beat it.

Another addition to my Mac ecosystem, but it has many limitations. I still have an Alexa to do the things my HomePod can’t.
