We feel much more secure with apples ecosystem, so the HomePod should be an upgrade on that at the very least. Sound quality is good, loudness and base are good. There are definitely better Speakers out there, but having peace of mind with privacy is a trade off that we are Willing to accept

Excellent Speaker!

The sound quality on this speaker is amazing and can really fill up the room. It doesn't always follow the voice commands to a tee, but it is easy to control the speaker from my phone in those circumstances. I definitely recommend this at the sale price.
