Not recommended for bass lover. You need apple system for using this. I tried this in store, then I returned it.

I am not fully able to use the apple home pod mini because apple cannot get the keychain feature to stay on on my phone. I have had numerous calls with apple support.

The Worst speaker ever. Very low bass and sound not clear. Called apple and basically they told me that it wasn't there probablem. Get a Google Home Instead.

I thought that this would be like a beats pill but it is the opposite of that . I gave the product one star because of the connectivity issues . The HomePod can only be used if you have Internet access a router and an Apple product . In other words if you were to take this camping with you ;unless you have a physical router turned on and Internet you cannot use this. And you cannot use it with imac unless you have an iPod or iPad or iphone to go with it .

Terrible. Apples attempt at an Alexa rival is so bad. Give up apple. These stink.

Was excited about this, the item completely does out within a week and the speaker quality stinks waste of money

The software in the home pod is very buggy, I find myself having to unpair and pair the stereo group to play. Having two HomePods is difficult to keep the worming together, also the sometimes okay different audio on different speakers. The speakers are never “ready” . I have to constantly reset the speakers to Get them to work . We purchased two of theM so this must be a software issue . And you can only use it if you have an Apple iPad or iPhone . Does not work with iMac or MacBook Pro.

Sounds ridiculous with the resources Apple has...it would design and launch a speaker that cannot be used with its own laptops and desktop computers. A pair of HomePods only play in stereo in iTunes but the computer's audio is only played in either one of the speakers in the pair. The latency is also very annoying. Sound quality is okay but not great. They don't play very loud so in big rooms they will sound like small speakers. Bass is weak in medium/large rooms. Along with the Apple mouse, the HomePods are probably the worst Apple products of all time.

I thought the speakers would be a lot louder. I do like that I can connect all my Apple products to the item I just wished the speaker would be louder for the price paid

Had it for a week and still won't sync with any of my Apple products, despite calling service. Will make one more call, but then it's going back to the store.

Not the best. I was looking for something that didn’t need to be plugged in.

Waste of money not something that anyone needs save yourself the pain.

Rating is unknown because I have been waiting on this product for almost a month when it was supposed to be here 7 days after order and it’s not here still.

It's a product that is "almost there", but doesn't quite reach the mark. Lack of proper stereo/surround sound support is ridiculous for how much this thing costs.

Come on it’s 2020 why would they make a speaker that you can’t connect to through Bluetooth. It’s also a little irritating that it doesn’t have a built in battery.

Initial response (8hrs post purchase): although a big fan of everything Apple, but an honest initial opinion - My echo dot paired with Bose soundlink II is better. Connects to many more devices/light switches, plays music from prime/Pandora, etc, Alexa is more responsive, bose speaker is portable. I’m not yet impressed with HomePod (although it plays my Apple Music library). The first time “Wow” maybe for folks who didn’t use Alexa hooked to quality speakers and didn’t really use smart home devices. Will try another week. Maybe I change my opinion.

Wait for next version of the HomePod Does sound good but not better than my Bose Revolve plus! So to actually use this it’s is gonna cost you $120 a year To play music that you already have on iTunes you have to Use the app (ridiculous) Homepod should have Bluetooth I hear no difference in the quality of sound with AirPlay This is one of the few products that I ever took back Made by apple Been a Mac user since 1997

Worse apple product ever. This product is just a speaker and the quality is not good. I will be returning this tomorrow.

Kind of disappointing with how the HomePod has sync issues with the home app. Tried to reset the device and now I cannot re add. Extremely frustrating

Did not work, probably why it was returned in the first place. Best Buy did that it back without and problems.
