It is louder than I expected, and controlling HomeKit devices while not on the home network. Got it on sale. I suggest waiting for a sale to get a good price.

I’ll begin by saying that I’ve been a subscriber of Apple Music for the past few years, and that made the Home Pod especially attractive to me. The sound quality is great, the design is beautiful, and overall it has been a very capable device. We have an older surround sound system connected to the TV (with an Apple TV), and that used to be our main source for listening to music. But asking Siri to play whatever we’re in the mood for is much more convenient! So far the unit has been flawless in serving as the “home hub” for our smart devices. It’s fun to control lighting and home accessories simply by asking Siri! Response to commands is rapid, accurate, and has exceeded my expectations. Yes, home pod is priced higher than some of its competitors, but it certainly has the look and feel of a premium device. If you are already a fan of the Apple eco system, and/or a subscriber of Apple Music, I can’t recommend it enough.

I paired this little orange bad boy w/my set of HomePod Speakers. I love the sound of them all together, & this puts out great sound for it's size!!!

Love the Home Pod, sounds greats, easy to connect and play.

Comes in handy, especially when family member needs to ping his phone to find it. The audio sounds pretty good too.

This is an excellent addition to the Apple eco system IFF you've gone all in on the smart home. As an addition to your listening experience this is a moderate addition; the speak provides a decent sound that will fill a small room and will compliment a wide variety of music tastes. at the open box price this is a strong recommendation.

I bought two. One alone has excellent sound. Both in stereo have perfect sound.

They are good quality and sound good. I would recommend it if you're an Apple user, as it has great features and is a great buy in every way, but it falls short of the reference speakers. I would recommend it if you are an Apple user.

I am thoroughly impressed by how powerful this small speaker is! Not only is it possible to create a stereo pair with 2 of these bad boys, but it is also possible to "handoff" calls and music to the speaker with a simple tap gesture. I love my homepod minis and will continue to use them daily!

Bought this speaker for my wife as a gift. Sounds great and works perfectly with my other apple products. Hint: if the speaker takes a while to complete the setup try resetting the speaker by unplugging it for a few seconds and plug it in. Hold two fingers on the top of speaker to reset. I had to do this a few times to initiate the update.
