Man I really wanted to love this thing. We used to have the Alexa home devices, then google, then these.... Maybe it's just the type of product, but they are almost all bad. It plays music, and sometimes understands the voice commands for weather and lights, but outside of that it's not a great product. The sound will sometimes lose the L or R signal (when not paired as a PAIR, just standalone) so music sounds pretty bad most of the time. The device is also not intuitive to a degree, that there are various settings you have to change just to not have it take over your music control from your phone or mac. Theres also no hierarchy system with sound proximity, so you can ask Siri for something, and it'll be a crap shoot which room responds to you if you live in a smaller house. Unsure, but the product just feels half baked.

I was able to get the Apple HomePod while on sale. Decided to buy two. They sound great. Much better than my old Sonos 1.

The speaker is really responsive. I use it to ask research questions for quick answers. Also, VERY impressive sound quality

The sound quality is outstanding when you're listening to music. Given the price, I would expect a smart speaker to be smarter. Siri needs lots of work and is worse somehow on the HomePod than on iPhone or iPad.

This is an amazing device! The sound fills a room and at $200 which I bought it for, it is the best speaker out at this price point!!

Beautiful sound. Works great as a timer, to get news, weather and much more. Looks great as well. I only wish the cord was retractable it’s a little long.

I have two homepods, they sound great when paired together but they crash all of time. You can not use paired speakers with macbook other than with itunes. Hardware is great, software sucks.

HomePods are great if you have Apple Music. They do not get that loud, hopefully, apple will make a subwoofer, but getting two is the way to go.

This is the second home pod I bought. Home Pod sounds great, and when you got two, you doubled or even tripled the greatness.

Haven’t had it for long but it pretty decent especially paired with other pods. 199 should be price though because it’s lacks behind other smart speakers in some aspects.

If you're "Apple", you got to have it. You can chat with Siri all day through the house. The sound for music is exceptional, the pod's strongest asset.
