The HomePod was my first smart speaker (I’ve owned it for a year now). I waited because the Apple hype convinced me to wait, then pay $350. I have the full Apple ecosystem, so I looked forward to a fully integrated experience. The pros are that it has the best sound of any smart speaker (I’ve since bought at least half a dozen others), and it plays great with Apple hardware, as expected. The bad news is, you cannot use it with the apps most people want, especially Spotify. Only Apple Music is “native” to the HomePod. It’s true that you can make your devices play to the HomePod - I can tell my iMac Pro to use the HomePod as it’s speaker, then play Spotify on a web browser to HomePod. Problem solved? Meh. You can’t talk to it. You can’t say, “Siri, play Eric Clapton on Spotify” and have it do that task. I now own three Harmon Kardon Invoke speakers with Cortana, and find them to be fabulous, and I bought all three for not much more than a single HomePod. HomePod is a throwback to the 2001 Apple business model of things that work only with Apple products even though that’s not what customer want.

I’m truly impressed with the sound quality from the HomePod ! I wish apple had not discontinued this device. The ability to control everything (including home automation devices) thru “hey Siri “ even while music is playing is amazing !

Great speaker. I do have a bit of trouble connecting it to my other HomeKit accessories sometimes but I think that may be due to my poor internet connection rather than the products effectiveness. It really is a great speaker and being able to say “hey Siri. . .” Is def nice. Good product if you want to add something to your smart home and you’re an Apple user.

The sound coming out of this speaker is truly amazing! It's really amazing what they have been able to do with such a small device. My only complaint is Siri. It's not the most reliable assistant... Hopefully they will keep improving the HomePod with future software updates.

I’m pretty much wrapped in the apple ecosystem so I use iCloud music frequently. The HomePod is a great addition to the Apple products already own. It works well with the iPhone iPad and MacBook Pro and the sound is amazing. I would like a little more bass but the speaker fills the room nonetheless.

I purchased this speaker to see if it was as good claimed. It exceeded my expectations so I bought a second one for the bedroom. I find that I listen to more music and watch less tv since making this purchase. The speaker dies fill the room with great sounding music.

If you’re embedded in the Apple ecosystem this is a great speaker. Not as smart as Alexa, but Siri is respectable for common requests. I bought this as a music smart speaker for my Apple Music subscription and it sounds amazing no matter where I put it, I’m very pleased. Hopefully software updates will expand Siri’s utility, as that is a major drawback, in addition to the lack of third party integration (eg. Spotify).

I currently have the Bose sound touch 300 sounder and sub for my tv and able to stream iheartradio, pandora, and my library. I will agree that the sound from the HomePod is great, has deep bass and crisp however its missing on being able to stream from 3rd party. You can currently only listen to your music library from iTunes or beats1 if you don't have Apple Music subscription and this was a slight deal breaker for me.

I purchased two of these, but so far activated only one of them. The sound quality in the store seemed to be better. The one at home doesn’t pump out as much bass, as the one in the store. I did go to iTunes and made some adjustments which helped some, but I still think the store unit was more impressive in the lower range. Nevertheless the small speaker provides good sound, and looks kind of cool.

By far one of the greatest product Apple has ever made!! Has excellent sound, has “Hey Siri” feature, and all of my Apple Music is connected to it!! I can easily transport it from room to room... especially for get togethers down to the shower!!!

I have Apple TV 4K and let me tell you how amazing this speaker is when you use it with Apple TV 4K! It's the best speaker for Apple TV 4k, the sound is amazing! Especially when you watch live sports and movies!

This is our second home pod. We were so impressed with the initial unit that we purchased the second one to have true stereo sound. Easy to set up and control. Highly recommended for Apple fans.

I love how this speaker sounds and how siri lights up at the top! I also like how I can hold my phone close to it and transfer whatever is playing directly on my phone. The one thing I really wish it had was a way to be portable. There is no way to attach a battery pack or even disconnect the power cord like you can with an amazon echo speaker.

I have not regretted purchasing this Apple HomePod. Well worth every penny paid for it. Love the full sound that fills my room. Makes me look forward to cutting on my musical selections in the afternoons. I purchased two and would another if needed.

This Homepod sounds amazing if you watch Apple TV with two Homepod it works great and for people the like on the mood sound it will meet your needs. I love it the only issues don’t recommended for non apple music or iPhone users. Otherwise sound amazing. Love it.

Nice product sometime it does pick up the sound from the tv . But other than that it’s really good. Wish the sale would come back so I can buy another one . Regular price is way too high .. 200$ is reasonable 300$ I could just purchase from the Apple store

Apple did it again great product picks up low voices from a distance superior to all the other smart speakers except Siri needs a major update To compete with Alexa I would definitely recommend this to a friend look forward to updated HomePods in the

I bought a pair for stereo. Once I set up iTunes match (24.99 per year) was able to access all iTunes music on my network. Apparently Apple wants you to subscribe to Apple music for 119.88 a year so they make it very difficult to find iTunes match. Compare to B and W or B and O not amazon.

The best mini speaker I've owned. I had a Bose and mid sized shelf speakers but can't help listening to this all the time. The sound is reproduced really well by the apple chip and the speakers work great in unison. Awesome. Worth the money.

We are an Apple family so this Homepod fit right in. We started using this as our way into HomeKit as well! The speaker has great sound and we end up listening to more music that we actually prefer! Just be sure to grab it while it is on sale!
