We use this to project shows from the iPad onto out TV. It also provides power to the iPad, so it doesn’t run out. It’s very useful, works well. But it quite fragile and seems expensive for such a simple component. All three characteristics are typical of Apple products.

Need to broadcast an iPhone, iPad or other Apple product to a TV or other projection system? Look no further. Plugs into lightning port and converts to HDMI. You can also plug power into the adapter and run it as well. Just open up your pocket and give your hard earned money to Apple for this little adapter.

I have been using this device to connect my IPhone and IPad into at my work. We only have a public wifi so I can’t stream directly into the tv via the wifi. But, by using this device and an HDMI cable, I have the same result. So far has worked out great.

This provides HDMI and power connections at same time and does a great job of sending streamed video to a TV with available HDMI connection. To get it to work you will need both an HDMI cord, power adapter and USB to lightning wire. Streaming video tends to wear down the internal battery quickly.

My Digital A/V Adapter was easy to order & available the very same day! I drove up, gave the Tech my order # and he got my adapter immediately and I was on my way! Doesn't get much easier than that! Love having the adapter to stream exercise videos from my I-pad to the TV!

It works as was designed to. A little pricey, but that's to be expected with Apple products. Overall It's what I needed to watch on a tv screen.

Works well but doesn’t ALWAYS work well. I have owned a few of these and they are great in a pinch but are not universal. All 3 I’ve owned I bought when I was on extended stays in hotels and wanted to stream content from my iPhone or iPad to the hotel room TV via an HDMI cable. The problem is it doesn’t always work. I purchased this specific dongle for a trip where I wanted stream my NFLX to the hotel’s LCD TV and it simply would not push anything to the TV. I tried ALL possible sources from my iPhone (NFLX, AMZN, HULU, XFIN) across both my cellular and the hotel WiFi’s network and nothing would transfer. I tried all of the HDMI inputs on my TV and on my co-traveler’s TV. I also know transmission rate wasn’t a problem because I bought a new HDMI cable that would support 4k transmission. It had to be an issue with the TV and the source apps not shaking hands but I guess if you pay more for an apple dongle than you do for your hotel room it’s possible I was setup for failure from the start... All of that being said I have had plenty of trips where these have worked perfectly so take it with a grain of salt...but with more and more providers walling off their content and shifting to proprietary hardware to stream their content you can expect to see more of these issues.

Using this specifically for my MBAir and MBP and it did not disappoint. Quickly able to use my external display with ease.

Works great mirroring what's on phone projected on to the tv. Also great for Netflix from iPhone or iPad to tv if your at a hotel or somewhere where you don't have your account set up

This adapter let me watch all of game of thrones from HBO on my phone to my 75" tv in HD perfectly. If you don't have a smart tv or if your in a hotel, this lets you stream anything that is on your phone to any tv. SWEET, love this adapter!

Good for my iPhone and my iPad and I can watch my Disney+ on any television or a big screen anywhere I don’t have to go to the expense of buying an Xbox or PS4 or whatever or even spend 179 bucks on the Apple TV I can watch it on my phone right onto my television with this device I love it
