great to have if you are staying somewhere that doesn't have internet and you have unlimited internet on your phone and you want to watch Netflix, hulu, youtube etc. on a tv instead of your small phone screen works like a charm.

I use this to connect my iPad to a classroom projector. It works very well for this purpose. There are probably less expensive options sold by companies other than Apple, but in my experience those are typically not as reliable or seamless to use.

Simple thing that does the job. Little expensive but don’t know of other options.

Excellent product. Did exactly what I needed and when I needed it.

This is the original Apple one,and it works. If you get one of the knock offs on e bay or alibaba and it fries your phone, then it's your own fault. It does cost a penny (like 50,000 pennies) but when you need it, it is there. I got it because when I used all Android stuff my Chromcast would 95% of the time work with my Android phone. When I switched to iPhones, well, it does and doesn't work. I get the 'can not play to external device or not authorized to play to external device (unless it's a Apple TV or Macbook,etc)). So I got this. I can charge my iPhone or iPad AND stream the screen to a flat screen. Now it's not all the time but Tmobile let's you stream Netflix or Hulu with no data penalties, and for me I got unlimited voice/text/data (but their "unlimited" is until 21GIGAbytes in a month, then they throttle you), but for Netflix, that doesn't count. So it was worth it, and I will usage out of it over the years.

Awesome++ been looking for this wire so that my daughters can stream from their iphones to the tv in the car and it works perfectly fine

This accessory was exactly what I was looking for. If WiFi is not available, with this device, you can watch the content from your phone or pad on a television or projector. Let that marinate.

Ok, so you don’t want to spend the $$ but it’s worth it. I have tried several off brand ones and they don’t consistently work. If you want something to work all the time get the original.

We cancelled our $70/month direct tv because of this amazing device! We can stream Netflix, abc app, youtube, etc with this connector. We use it constantly and love it. I still have unlimited data, so no problems with data usage fees. I tell everyone about this connector- I love it!

I now can go to the hotel room and stream straight from my phone whiles it’s charging. I got a short HDMI cable and just let it lay on the dresser and watch whatever I want. Don’t k low why I didn’t buy one of these sooner

Easy to use. Just need a HDMI to HDMI cable then can connect my Iphone to my TV

Great for screen mirroring on an iPad/any apple device. You can use this cable to charge your device while also screen mirroring. The only downsides are the cable is not the most durable and it takes up a lot of battery if it is not being charged. Overall it is a great additional product for watching things on a tv.

This product is great. Works well with my iPad air 2. Picture quality is amazing.

I cannot complain that I can’t watch certain live TV from my phone through this device to a projector because it’s my phone. This product does however allow me to broadcast out my phone, other media and stored movies flawlessly. Idiot-proof product.

Love that we finally got all our connections to watch things on our TV set via our internet! Just make the connections - put the HDMI in a slot and tell the TV to view that slot and there we are - Bob's Your Uncle!

It works perfectly. I have a 7 year old Smart TV. that doesn’t have HBO MAX as an app. Hooked it up to my ipad and presto I could watch “ King Richard” on my 65 inch.

Seems apple has a hold on the market--tried an off brand that wouldn't work. This works great. Use it in my car for the rear entertainment screens that have to connect via HDMI.
