Most video apps detect it automatically, but if they don't, you can manually switch to it from settings.

Easy use for a new customer to apple products.

I just plugged it into my hdmi cord for my Samsung tv and owalla my iPhone was screen mirroring to my tv. Amazing product. Apple please stay making products like this. Thanks for the assist Best Buy!

Can stream all my app videos on my TV now. Especially love having the workout videos on a big screen. And you can't beat Best Buy shipping. Came in no time.

He just plugs his smart phone into this device and then then into three smart tv and voila! He can watch anything from his phone onto our giant 75 inch tv.

You just simply plug it in and it works. The only thing to note is that the volume control did have to be adjusted on the iPad. I give it two thumbs up.

IMO, go with the Apple branded adapter and you will never worry!!!
