I purchased this adapter so I can stream movies on my iPhone and project through my portable mini projector. The adapter works great and was exactly what was needed to accomplish the task.

This adapter works as advertised, as one would expect from an Apple product. As for essentially all Apple accessories, it is too expensive.

It is unfortunate that Apple doesn't provide any connection methods on the iPad other than Lightning. But, with this adapter, you get a wired connection to any device that can take HDMI input, and the output is great. It is a little on the expensive side, but does the job very well.
