Had some problems with cheaper 3rd party adapters, this one works great and was able to get a good price. I used this one with my iPad to download movies at home and then play them back on the TV in the RV when we are away from home.

This adapter works as intended. Need to purchase an HDMI cable and also use an iPhone or iPad power cord. Power up the adapter first, connect the HDMI cable and then plug in the iPad or iPhone to view the screen on your HDTV. Don't forget to switch your HDTV to the correct HDMI input.

I purchesed this to connect the Ipad to the TV with an HDMI cord, it works great as for that. The only down fall i have is that the cord between the ipad and the block that the HDMI cord plugs into gets twisted and feels like its going to come apart like the iPhone cords usually do.
