Use to plug iphone into tv and it works. Will not work woth DirectTv app but that is a control within their software. Cord works for everything else perfectly.

This adapter is great even for traveling if you have a HDMI cord and netflix you can get any shows to play on pretty much any tv which is great with kids.

I purchased it for my Mom so she could attach her iPad to her television. I showed her how to use it. She likes it and is able to hook it up with no problems.

Some apps no longer support Apple Play, but it can be bypassed using this neat gadget. Easy to use and a source for power cable.
