Apple adapters are what they are...expensive but get the job done reliably. This adapter is no different. If you need to stream from an iPad or iPhone or a Mac, this is essential to have. Connectivity can sometimes be a problem with older televisions but that’s no fault of the cable.

This adapter works well. I bought it to stream some sports to my tv since I don't have cable. It would not allow air play for some sports programs. Had I known this I probly would not have bought it. It does work well, but want people to be aware of the "air play" not allowed for some shows.

Great for just what I needed! Connection between my phone is not a problem with this product. It is an Apple accessory, so I was not surprised it was pricy compared to the other brands.

I bought this adapter so I could use it with an iPhone and a projector. It works perfectly, even though I think Apple overprices their components. This adapter is necessary if you need to use your Apple devices with HDCP (copy protected content). Cheap knockoffs on Amazon are NOT HDCP compatible.

If you're outputting things like Netflix or iTunes, then this will play in 1080p. And everything looks sharp and great! If you're outputting your iOS device as a mirrored image, you might see some artifacts and blurring. Your device will transcode the image so there's a little lag and a loss in image quality. It's not a hinderance, but if you're a bit of a videophile, you might notice it. For most people, the quality is fine, and I recommend getting it.
