I have a small apartment durning the week and needed to get streaming content to tv. I would recommend this product to anyone needing to convert from phone to tv.

Works as advertised

I attempted to use it on my IPhone 7p with the Direct TV app. Apparently Direct TV app does not allow its use. Was able to get audio but no video and further research was unable to resolve issue. I can recommend it for other uses, you tube etc, but not Direct TV.
