I never write reviews... but this thing is horrible. I never thought Apple would endorse such a bad product. It didn't even last 20 minutes into my road trip before showing static on the screen and audio started cutting out. Then, I found the culprit. If you so much as move the iPhone or cable, everything goes haywire. Terrible design... you can't even touch it after it's set.

We needed an adapter to watch on our home TV HDMI from our iPhone videos. Sorry this did not work for us. We wanted to use it with our iPhone to HDMI. Nope! Then we tried it with our iPad Mini to HDMI. Nope! Then we tried it with our regular iPad to HDMI TV. Nope! We would get the sound audio but not the picture. The picture on the HDMI TV would be of a red spinning circle on black/grey background. We promptly returned to Best Buy! They are great!

I asked the representative at Best buy if I could use this to plug my iPad into my TV and watch my optimum app and he said absolutely. I plugged it in on two separate occasions and I got audio but no video

Honestly to much money for what it is, but you do at least get the apple quality to go with it

It’s okay for something quick. Quality wasn’t the best.

Rarely works. It worked the first time I used it, but hasn't since then. Even unplug and restart iPad. Don't spend the money. Just get an apple TV. I bought this for traveling, but hasn't lived up like I hoped.

I’ve maybe used this 4 or 5 times; used it last night, and it would not charge my phone. As we plugged in the lightning to it, the phone charging icon blipped for a millisecond, then nothing. I was using It for a livestream and my battery almost died. I know it was this device, because I took the same charging cord and plugged it into the wall charger after the livestream and my phone charged just fine. Very disappointed! Now I can’t use it, and I need it! Can I send it back?

Seems to work part of the time but not all the time.

I should have researched more, as soon as I purchased this my iPhone was updated and had an icon that once you hit it sent the signal of what I was watching to my Apple TV box so I did not need it!

Does exactly what it’s intended to do, although some apps does not allow you to mirror.

Bought to use with my iPhone to mirror to a monitor but it would not work.

I’ve had three of these each one has failed after a few months

Works well with my ipad and iphone. However after certain period, the display out was not getting recognized if the adapter cable is bent. I had to make sure the cable is straight when I am connecting my devices

I bought this item with the whole idea that I could connect my iPad or iPhone to my tv and watch downloaded movies or videos on my tv. I was wrong instantly. It is all blocked!!! You plug your phone in and go to watch a movie and you are not authorized. Amazing, why sell this then. It is essentially useless.

Video playback from the iPhone to the monitor via HDMI are delayed so audio doesn’t match what the video is currently playing. Checked all streaming settings but still having issues.

I use this to connect my TV and phone so I can project downloaded movies to my TV.

Being able to connect my tablet to the tv without interface immobility is worth it

The lightning connector does not plug into the opening when I use a phone protector when all others (original and aftermarket) fit without any problem.Returned.

Not the most reliable device. It worked well for a few weeks and then suddenly every slight movement of the attached iPad or the HDMI into the TV would drop the picture. Very frustrating.
