Excellent ; wish I would have purchased sooner. This works exactly as you would hope: you just plug it into your phone, and then plug in an HDMI cable into the end of the dongle. Your iPhone is then displayed on the tv on the other end of the HDMI cable. No setup, nothing. Just switch the tv to the input for the cable, and BOOM: you're able to share pics and videos to everyone in the room, vs. having everyone crowd around your phone or pass it around. I used this extensively at a recent gathering of friends. Other people then hooked up their iPhone to show their pics and videos; it worked great. Highly recommend.

This product worked flawlessly. I was able to play movies from my iPad onto my smart TV using an HDMI cable. Very easy to use. Can charge iPad or iPhone at the same time as playing a movie downloaded to my device.

We purchased this for our lake house because we don’t have internet there, just an antenna, so very little t.v. Channels. Which is great until you have a rainy day. Anyways. The Apple adapter worked perfectly, we downloaded movies on our Apple phones, connected it to the adapter, the HDMI and we were able to watch a movie. No problems at all. It was actually very simple. Highly recommend it.

Works well and does what it is supposed to. Good quality but very overpriced as most Apple branded products are. Even though it's overpriced, I still picked it for the piece of mind that it would work as expected.

This adapter allows you to watch all video being played on your iPhone or iPad on any tv with a HDMI port. It negates the need to mirror to an Apple TV. However, what really drove me to purchase this adapter was cable tv companies switching to all digital, thereby requiring all TVs to have a cable box. An alternative is to download an app (in my case the Spectrum TV app) to your phone or tablet. This allows you to watch tv on your phone. With this adapter you can now watch live tv on any tv without the need to pay for additional cable boxes. Works great with full HD picture quality.

I was looking at options for connecting my iPad to the HDMI port on TVs while staying at a hotel. The Geeks at Best Buy set me up with the Digital A/V Adapter. It plugs into your device and you connect an HDMI cable between the Adapter and the TV. Very simple and it works great. There is also a power port on the Adapter so that you can power/charge the device as needed. Please note that if you do wish to charge your device with the power port on the A/V adapter, you must have your own power supply, and lighting cord. Also, you have to supply the HDMI cable to connect the A/V Adapter to the TV.

I am very satisfied with my purchase. The quality is great and connects very well with my smart tv. I like that there's two ports one to charge your device/smartphone when connected to a smart tv and a port to connect with the HDMI.

The Apple Lightning Digital AV Adapter allows me to output from my iPad Air (retina mini and mini compatible as well) and iPhone 5s (5, 5c compatible) and my fifth generation iPod touch to my HD display via HDMI. Audio and video are high quality. The setup is dead simple: Plug the HDMI into the adapter, optionally plug a lightning cable into the lightning slot of the adapter and to power, then plug the lightning connector into the iDevice. When you turn the TV on, the contents of your iDevice's display is shown on screen. Certain apps (like Youtube or Netflix) can output full screen while leaving controls on your iDevice's screen. That's it. That is all you do.

This was a little pricey, but perfect for traveling and also presenting when AirPlay isn’t available. Love that you can still connect a lightning adapter while it’s plugged in too.

Easy to attach using a HDMI. I’ve been buying these for the past 15 years and only get another one if something happens to it. Always a great purchase. Can watch movies, look at pictures and more.

I'm not a techy by any means. This was simple to use. We bought it to watch football on the TV and the stream was crystal clear. Only semi-complaint would be the price. I think Apple over charges for everyrhing.

I always take this adapter and an HDMI cable with me when I travel with my iPad. I use it watch movies and videos streamed on my iPad on my hotel TV. I’ve had my adaptor for over 5 years now. It still works great. It works with pre-iPhone 15 models too.

Works as expected. Just plug into your phone and then plug an hdmi cable in and you are set. Has an additional lightning port for keeping your phone or tablet charged while using your device.

We do not have internet so this allows us to connect an hdmi cable to our Apple phones (while charging) to watch our phones on our TV (smart and not) without using a hotspot.

I dont have a upgraded samsung tv yet, and with this adapter I’m able to connect my phone, and stream, i can watch movies, i love this adapter, i wanted to add how kind my sales person was, she handled everything with so much grace and i appreciate that so much.

This adapter is amazing at connecting your iphone to the TV. You can also charge at the same time. Ive used it for netflix, youtube, apple movies (on my phone), you can even use it ifyoy want to stream music through your tv speakers from your phone. Full compatibility with netflix, hulu, spotify, youtube, basically any provider. Something to be aware of, however, is it also depends on the software you use. In 2017, Hulu app on my iPhone didnt alow docking to the TV. But after a couple newly released Hulu updates, they included apple tv port capability. Depending on what app or software you use, you may not have support. But those apps I listed have no issue with porting to the TV.

In my role doing sales, I often have to demonstrate a mobile app using an iPhone or iPad. This little connector allows me to connect my Apple devices to any HDMI device (HDTV, Projector, etc.) easily. Some large screen TVs require more power than the iPhone/iPad can generate to drive the big screen, so this connector allows you to plug your power cord in too - which also recharges your device while you're using it. The only complaint I have is that the plastic around the lightning connector is much larger than on Apple charging cables and will not fit if you have a Lifeproof case. Otherwise, it works great!

Quick and easy to hardwire an iPhone to a 50 inch flat-screen for streaming when the cable system failed. Not inexpensive but worked very well when needed.
