This adapter lets you view whatever is on the screen of your IPhone onto your tv through an HDMI cable and will allow you to charge your IPhone at the same time. It is very easy to use.

Needed this to hook up to an older flat screen television. Lightning adapter works like a charm. HDMI cable that we have should be a tad bit longer, so getting a new cable is the next step.

I have used this HDMI to I-Phone 8+ Cable adapter for a couple of months now. It works really great on my Smart Television. I don’t have cable or WIFI so this enables me to watch movies or news off my phone on a 50” screen with no quality lost. Highly recommend this. A little pricey but worth it.

After thinking, I could buy a third-party model of this… I found out I was wrong! You must have the Apple adapter to be able to sync to your HDMI port, to go broadcasting it to your television! There is also a USB port on it, so that you can charge your phone while you are streaming your favorite concert! I love this product

The Apple Lightning Digital adapter is very easy to use and the connection to the HDMI cable is perfect. Picture looks as good as in the Iphone. Very expensive item.

Very good! Can connect it to anything that has an hdmi port. The connectivity to it is outstanding and it’s very durable, so if you accidentally drop it or step on it DONT WORRY because it won’t harm it. VERY WELL MADE 20/10 and I recommend buying this if you want to make your life a whole lot easier.

This thing Really comes In handy. I have many uses for it but my primary use is to play Fortnite on any hdmi tv along with a wireless Xbox controller. Quality is superb on all my TVs. Very small delay but after playing for a while I adjusted to it and don’t notice it myself anymore. I also use it for presentations where a laptop setup would be to clunky (Apple Watch as my remote). A few more, to view my surveillance or to watch my trading charts. Anything on your iPhone screen will be displayed on your tv. I’m sure the use case is beyond what I only use it for

Bought this adapter to use on my TV with my iPhone I use it at home. Don’t need fire stick or Roku. All you need is an HDMI cord to plug into adapter on one side and your TV on the other side of the cord. Then you need Netflix and Hulu apps on your phone. You can watch videos from YouTube on your TV using your iPhone also. It works great! If your on vacation and want to watch TV. All you do is connect the phone to the adapter and your adapter to the TV and watch Netflix or Hulu from apps you have on your phone as well.

This adapter makes it super easy to watch videos on a tv screen. I use it mainly to watch Netflix and pretty happy with the fact that when I do get notifications on my phone, it doesn't show on the tv screen and does not disrupt what I'm watching. Bonus that I can charge my phone and have the hdmi cord plugged in at the same time!

Does the job of attaching HDMI to lighting port...no problems. Apple has the best quality of products, just too bad that they are so expensive.

My only fault is the price, but Apple likes to keep things expensive. Works great. I use to stream Netflix from my phone when I am on trips mostly but have also used to give presentations on tvs.

This is a great product. However I really think that it is way over priced. I bought it for my 82 year old father who is house bound, all he can do is watch tv programs and dvd's, which get very old after awhile. With this adapter I can show him things on his own tv, (so he can see them) through my IPad that are interesting, sometimes very funny. I can also show him some educational broadcasts from the IPad that otherwise would not be able to be accessed. I think of other older ones who could enjoy this that are in the same position, it would be nice if it was not so expensive-these people are almost always on a fixed income and $49.00+taxes are a little more than there budget can afford.

I bought a $10 adapter because I wanted to run a clean video feed to my monitor via HDMI and the able would overheat within 5 minutes. I went ahead and invested in Apple's adapter and have the peace of mind that the HDMI cable does not overheat. I would check it every 5-10 mins because I was still concerned it would eventually overheat. Not at all. the temp on the cable was standard with any other cable you plug into a TV/monitor. I would highly recommend ponying up the $50 vs gambling on a cheaper version.

The Apple HDMI adapter costs more for a couple reasons. I'm glad I spent the money. 1. Supports iTunes and copyrighted video! (other adapters usually are not mFI certified. If the description has you accept a compatibility warning, it's not Apple certified. they do not pay royalties, which means they won't support copyrighted or DRM movies such as iTunes, Netflix, Amazon video, HBO, etc. ) 2. it powers itself off the iPhone or iPad. Very power efficient too. (other adapters require a USB power adapter and they run hot) 3. This adapter is really an external video card. It has a GPU and 2gb ram ( the specs are better than others. This means when working correctly the phone should not slow down, freeze or lag anywhere near as much as other adapters cause) 4. The adapter automatically receives software updates from the phone/iPad without you having to do anything. 5. iOS allows separate audio output, so the video can go down HDMI, Audio can be HDMI, bluetooth or Airplay speakers. 6. all TV resolution format config is automatically the best available. 7. apps that support external monitors run simultaneously with the phone and full screen on the TV. (Presentations and games aren't simply screen mirrored and cropped with the black bars like some adapters ) Obviously Apple apps work great, but YMMV on whatever 3rd party apps you use. I'm very happy with the Apple adapter, but deduct 1 star for the following reasons. 1. Zero included instructions. There is a very specific connecting order one must do for it to work. First set the TV to HDMI input, then cable the HDMI to the adapter, then cable the adapter to the phone. anything else, blank screen. 2. The software update is so hidden that you have to look in settings -> General -> about this phone -> scroll all the way to the bottom to see the adapter menu and open it. Also this software update could take a minute or so the first time you plug it in. and you'll have to disconnect and reconnect a couple times for the newer software to take effect. 3. The HDMI resolution is unavailable to the user. If the TV does not properly tell the HDMI adapter what resolution or formats it can handle, then the apple adapter defaults to the lowest quality possible. This is common when plugging into a home theater setup and not the TV directly. If your resolution or quality is poor, unplug start over plugging directly to the TV to the adapter, then to the phone. 4. Apple does not include a couple feet of HDMI cable built in, like the old analog iPod AV adapter did

I bought this to allow my small kids to view School related videos, like schoology, and zoom meetings in a big screen vs the iPhone screen while they’re in distance learning due to COVID-19. The digital adapter works great and is easy to use right out the box. It required no change in settings and can easily be hooked up from tv to another. All you need is an HDMI cable and you’re good to go. I highly recommend this adapter if you’re traveling watching movie in hotels or resorts and want to keep yourself and little ones occupied.

Works very well. I have a couple of TVs that are not smart but have HDMI ports. I can now watch things that I can get on my phone using the HDMI output to those TVs. One of which is on my treadmill.

Trying to get streaming on my TV without paying for it. I have unlimited data usage on my cell phone but no internet at home. Trying to be frugal so I had this idea. It's pricey but I had to buy this but it was a one time charge and that's it. I plug it into my phone. The adapter has two outlets on it; one for your charger, and the other hdmi you plug into your tv. I can watch whatever I watch on my phone. I watch Hulu, Netflix, the CW. Whatever is on your screen on your phone appears on your TV. The only drawback is the whole time you're watching tv your phone screen stays on, but, it dims. It's just annoying my phone doesn't get hot.

I bought this HDMI Adapter so that my kids and I could stream a Pay Per View Event from my ipad onto our big TV. The setup was easy and the quality was excellent. Make sure to plug the power charging cable into the adaptor because the ipad will not stream smoothly if not. I also like the fact that it is portable so that we can take it on trip and stream through a hotel tv. Highly recommend.
