iPhone FireWire to HDMI TV audio and video works great. You can also charge phone while using. I use Tablo remote so I can watch my local TV from anywhere using this adapter and an HDMI cable.

I have no complaints with this product. It works flawlessly. The phones lock screen does not have to be unlocked in order for the video to transfer and of course, you can charge the phone while playback is taking place. You do not have to plug it into a power source in order for it to work though. Although it’s a tad pricey, it works the way it supposed to.

Very easy to hook up and stream from your smart phone to any tv with an HDMI hookup. Video quality is as good as your tv. You control video play from your phone. The only thing I would like better would be if I had a longer HDMI cable (not included with purchase) so I could control from my chair. It is a little pricy but It is easy to travel with and it works great.

I prefer to use "Keynote" on my iPad instead of Microsoft's Powerpoint when putting together presentations and lectures. This little gem has made it so much easier to set up my lectures in classrooms and board rooms that have large TVs instead drop down projector screens. I simply plug the lightening port into the iPad, the HDMI cable into the TV, and the display pops up within seconds (make sure you've tuned the TV to display the proper HDMI port). Then it's as simple as bluetoothing my iPhone to the iPad and using it as the remote for the presentation. There's even a second female lightening pot next to the HDMI port on the adapter so you can plug in a lightening cable connected to a wall charge to ensure your device doesn't power down due to low battery if giving an extended lecture. Well worth the money I spent. It's also worth noting that this can be connected to a digital projector with an HDMI input and projected onto a wall. You're not limited to just TV's. You can connect the apple device to any display with an HDMI input. I've used this not just for lectures, but also for showing slideshows of family vacations and mission trips to friends and extended family so everyone can gather around at once and I don't have to post everything to social media for them to see.

if you don't have an apple tv in every room, this is an inexpensive way to view your iphone or ipad on any hd tv. along with an hdmi cable, take this small device with you when you travel to easily entertain the kids. it includes a lightning port, so your device can be charged while you use the adapter to display the screen on the tv.

This adapter was simple to use and allows everything shown on the screen of my iPhone or iPad to be streamed on to the television (including Netflix, Hulu, etc.). It was definitely worth purchasing this Apple brand product; I had previously purchased an "aftermarket" version and it did not work well at all.

My friend and I had been in Best Buy a few months earlier, where he had purchased a similar product, but for USB-C to HDMI because he has a Samsung Galaxy S8. He opted for the model that didn't have the port that allowed that phone to be charged while still displaying your phone's screen through HDMI onto whatever other screen your heart is content on. After several months of using this, we really started to regret not spending the additional $20 or so, because if the phone didn't have enough battery to get all the way through a movie that we were particularly into, the phone would die, and we would have to stop, charge his phone for long enough to hook it back up and finish the movie. That is the best part about this adapter in my opinion. The fact that it is either charging your phone, or keeping it charged, while you're streaming your favorite movies, games, YouTube videos, etc, onto your 72" in your living room. And with the advancements in the newer iPhones, plus just the general capabilities of HDMI, the resolution looks great on the much bigger screen. I just wish Apple wouldn't overcharge for literally EVERYTHING!. There is no reason a simple adapter like this should cost basically $60. Other than the price, the product is sound.

This adapter came in extremely handy over the holidays. While traveling with my family, I wanted to watch movies downloaded onto my iPad on the TV in our hotel room since we couldn't log into our streaming service from most TVs. I connected the Lightning Digital A/V adapter to my iPad, then to a HDMI cable and into the hotel TV so my family was able to watch our movies on the big screen. The adapter is quite pricey, being from Apple, but works well when I need it.

Accesible price, very useful and easy to install anywhere you need it. Great quality, very resilient, plus perfect size. Anyone from any age can use it at anytime. I definitely recommend it to buy, I believe everyone should have one of this at home, at the office even at the car. It was a great investment I did when I purchased it cause I use it every day. This allows me to connect my iOS devices to either my monitor of tv with a HDMI cable and i also can charge my device while using the cable. The packaging is simple so far i have had no hiccups with the device. Im sure there are less expensive options but with this product you know it will be compatible with iOS devices.

Excellent purchase a bit pricey when you first buy it, but eventually is worth every penny.

Worked exactly as advertised. Performed as we have become accustomed to Apple products performing. It is the right accessory to enjoy video from your iPhone or iPad without any issues. A bit pricier than competitive products, but we are counting on Apple quality that will outlast the others and will never need a replacement.

This Apple - Lightening Digital A/V Adapter has knocked our viewing opportunities Out of The Park. Whatever we can get on our Apple iPhone we can watch on our TV. Watching the screen on our iPhone was acceptable only because we did not own this Apple A/V Adapter. This has changed our viewing experiences. We watch our Grandsons hockey games & all kinds of other events & programs. When we travel we can take it with us. It takes up no room & it is easy to use any place we take it. We love it & we are thrilled to have this Apple - Lightening Digital A/V Adapter.

Yes, it is somewhat expensive for an adapter but, it is Apple so you pay the price and you know you will get a quality product, and It works flawlessly. If you need or want a wired connection from your phone to an HDMI capable+ monitor this is it.

This adapter worked great with my mini-I Pad. I am able to watch movies, presentations, videos, and utilize other apps from my Apple device directly to my big HD TV.
