It feels as snappy as my $1300 M2 Pro Mac Mini on my desk at work. The 256 isn't an issue as I keep my Dropbox folder on an external drive.

Great speed improvement vs Intel Mac

Only drawback is the 256 Gb storage, you need to add an external drive for additional space (If not using the cloud for most of your files). But that's a lot less expensive than buying the higher storage Mac versions. Combine it with a good monitor.

Great computer

Combined with Samsung 27" ViewFinity S7 monitor for an excellent alternative to a new iMac and a lot less expensive - especially with Black Friday sales. Billy from the Baldwin Geek Squad did a great job helping with my data transfer so overall 5 stars.

Big Power. Small footprint

This thing cranks away at H.265 4K/60 video in less time than my fully built Windows rig in a package 20x smaller

They have not created an original idea in the history of their company, and their OS is an amalgam of NeXT, BSD, and a smattering of others. Yes, it has morphed into it's own after so many changes, but not new. Apples Motto should be "Nothing New Under the Sun." But, if I have to run anything Apple, the Mini is my hands down choice.
