Wonderful basic computer
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was my first Mac, and I love it! Mac's make so much more sense than a PC. The operating system is much smoother. However this machine does lack some power. If I could go back, I'd get the next model up. Although it's perfect for surfing the web

Great computer
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I use this for video production and I love the size and functionality. This is the best computer at this price level. You only need a monitor.

BOOTCAMP video quality (fix)
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The CPU is OK, but what really makes this rating -2 stars is the abysmal performance of the 5400 rpm hard drive. Consider a minimum of a 7200 rpm upgrade or SSD if you need ultra performance. I have a note for BOOTCAMP users: please confirm your video settings for the Intel Graphics. My experience with the display settings in the Intel Graphics control panel was such that the defaults were set to pour quality. The dual monitor setup I used with a PC looked wonderful; I write code all day long. However, when in BOOTCAMP, these same monitors LOOKED HORRIBLE; blurry and washed out colors. If you aren't experiencing any issues with your image quality, you're probably fine, but if not, consider following these steps as they worked for me: In BOOTCAMP (I was using Windows 10 AE), click on the Intel HD Graphics icon in your system tray, and choose Graphics Properties and confirm several settings for all displays you are using: 1. If you do nothing else, on the General Settings page, click on Advanced and confirm Quantization Range is set to FULL RANGE. 2. (optional) On the Basic settings, I don't like scaling (causes blurriness), so I chose Maintain Aspect Ratio. The only time you'll need this is for older 4:3 apps, you'll know if you have them (games). 3. On the Color Settings page, click on Advanced and confirm YCbCr is Enabled for your digital display. 4. (optional) On the Basic settings, consider reducing the gamma to 0.9. Also, at this writing I have not been able to upgrade to Windows 10 CU, but I hear Apple and Microsoft are working on that issue.

Best small form factor PC!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This tiny little Mac gives you all the power of an iMac while saving tons of cash and allowing you to choose any monitor you like.

Cheapest Mac
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. You can definitely buy a Windows PC for less, but this is the cheapest way to get into the Apple Mac OSX world. I highly recommend a Mac for home use if you don't "need" a Windows PC.

Nice but slow
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The dual core along with the small caliber processor isn't enough to drive quick responses in this mini. Recommend you upgrade to a more expensive model. But, you do get w MAC for less money.

Great computer!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I use this computer for all my media. I have my laptop for my everyday use... and my mac mini for my iTunes and movies. I recommend getting the track pad rather than the mouse for this.

Hard to find, but handy
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very small, powerful, everything you need to convert from Windows to Apple. Use with your existing monitor, mouse and keyboard.

Cheaper and fewer features
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I also have a 2012 version. The new one is as configured with no ability to upgrade memory. I returned it an found another 2012 version. It's still more reliable than a PC with Windows.

Great Entry-Level Mac
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For the price, this is definitely a Mac you should consider if you only need to do simple computer tasks. I have a Late 2013 MacBook Pro to compare this one to and there are some speed and performance differences that are quite noticeable. Since this is not meant for heavy or intensive programs, I am completely happy with this Mac. I also took advantage of Bootcamp and installed Windows it. It a 2-in-1 for me!

I'm sure it's a good computer...
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review....But I'm switching from a PC to a MAC and finding the transition difficult. Apple does have good phone help with the problems I'm having.

Great, compact machine
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great way to get a Mac in a small package. It doesn’t have a drive, but who uses those these days anyways. I bought a combo tv/dvd player as a monitor to be about to still watch an occasional DVD.

Mac all the way
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this for my dad. He’s not tech-savvy, but this is simple enough for him to use. Could’ve gone with a cheaper Windows PC, but all my Macs have lasted at least 8+ years (comparing my old black MacBook from college) with no issues. Bought a Logitech solar keyboard, but came back and swapped it out for the Apple Keyboard. The solar would’ve been too much of a hassle for me to constantly sync it for my dad, so it was worth the extra money for the convenience of assurance.

Ran incredibly slow
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had a IMac 2006 actually I still have it. Almostsame specs but duo core and less Ram but it is far faster and handles more with ease. Come on Apple, really?

Great entry Apple.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Wasn't looking to do anything fancy, so this is perfect. It is really small. For this price can't go wrong with Apple.

Exactly what we were looking for
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was a replacement Mac for a MacBook Air that was being used as a desktop machine (in clamshell mode). Much faster than the ~2.5 year old laptop. Meets all of our needs.

Great desktop for the price.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Way better performance and standard features than any PC at this price point. Hands down a better value for the money.

Great Mac
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my first experience with a Mac desktop, after owning several MacBook Pro's and MacBook Air's. This is a great desktop, and is powerful enough to do most tasks. Even apps like Photoshop run great on this little guy!

Purchased for my grandfather
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My grandfather reached out to me and was looking for advice on a new computer. Having a bad history with computers I recommended several options (none of which included a Windows product) and this is the one he decided to go with. He has been very happy with it so far and the learning curve was hard despite his age. I sat with him on two separate occasions and helped him out and he's been fine since. Apple software is just much more user friendly for him.
