The HDD in this mac mini is slow. And not just slow, but slowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww. Other than that, it works just fine. I use it for work and it gets the job done. Be prepared to wait a lot though.

The Computer was a Christmas gift, was disappointed it was not the newest version like I was told. I ended up returning it and got my husband the Apple Watch instead.

After living with "Apple people" for much of my life, I decided to take the plunge and try an Apple product. I used this to work on development for an app and it worked fine for that (the reason i gave it more than 1 star). However, this product has done nothing to change prior belief true that Apple products are overpriced and lack justification of being forced to use the "Apple ecosystem". For anybody wanting a computer, one could build (or buy!) a PC for the same price with more power, more features, and learn a thing or two along the way.

Very slow and not responsive. I bought this today and used it for an hour and im returning this because its not worth money.

It is expensive and has mediocre performance. But it is for my parents and my dad will click any link in any email so I figured they'd be better off without Windows.

If you are looking into this computer upgrade your ram now, this model it is not allowable for you to add after purchasing it.

I love Apple, I was trying to decide if I should buy a unexpensive PC with more GBs or keep with Apple with smaller memory (as a backup computer) I guess this time at least for me wasn't the best option, this freezes sometimes and close some apps and so on... so I guess I need now to save more money and get one with best features! this is made for someone that only will use it for internet nothing else!

This is the lower end of the Mac mini line. Even with that, it performs very well for its intended purpose...productivity software. I mainly needed support for programs in the Microsoft Office Suite, Quicken and internet usage. It has more than enough power to work with all of these products. It handles large powerpoint files extremely well. One of the things I like about the Mac mini is it is very easy to pack up and take with you for presentations and such. While making a presentation portable and just using a projector to show it is great, being able to make changes and impromptu changes is wonderful. The unit has ample storage and memory to make these types of applications fly. When at home I appreciate it sitting there looking more like a switch or large apple tv, not taking up much space. Most people do not even realize I have a computer there hooked up to my tv. I use a remote mouse and keyboard making this effortless to use with any tv anywhere.

This is very disappointing for me as I am a guy that loves everything Apple.... This base version of the Mac Mini is bad... Really bad! It is hard to imagine who this thing is even for in its base configuration. In no way was I expecting it to do what a MacBook Pro could; however, I was expecting it to do basic task well. This thing struggled to do simple things like open emails or have more than one browser open. Pass on this one folks.

If you're looking for a powerful machine, this is not it. If you just need something to surf the web and check emails with, it does fine.

Im not sure why, but my husband wasnt very happy with product. My only guess would have been the speed-

The macmini in this configuration is incredible slow. The worst mac you can buy. If you plan to buy it, go for a PC. Doesn't worth. Try by yourself but keep the boxes cause you probably will want to send it back to bb. Try to buy the 2.6 i5, with 8gb, maybe it is more acceptable. I had an 2014 mac mini and it was at least 2 times faster easily.

Was hoping for better performance. Took 15 minutes to start up. Could not restore from my old Mac. Returned after 2 days.

This Mac Mini with only 4Gb RAM, struggles with more than 2 tabs open in Safari.

The Geek Squad has been unbelievable in there help setting up the computer and helping with the learning curve.

I prefer having a MAC but this is great for someone who wants it but doesn't NEED it.

I bought this to upgrade from the last Mac mini. It’s slower than my old one!

I bought a Geek-squad certified computer that was supposed to be like new, and it barely worked. It ran extremely slow and crashed multiple times. I have another mac mini on another computer that works well but is also somewhat slow.

After getting this setup with my apps, photos, programs etc. it was so slow. My 2009 MacBook runs a lot faster and it’s quite a bit older hardware. An SSD would make this machine good but in its current state it’s terrible. Returned it
