The MacBook Air M4 chip with 16 GB memory, 256 GB SSD fit my requirements. I love it & it has inspired me to write a novel afterwards!

The MacBook meets all the touchpoints that I desired for my college freshman. Its sleek, lightweight, has a powerful chipset and decent storage for college use. If you are heavy into media and content just add additional external storage to beef it up for less than the internal upgrade.
