I had a Microsoft Windows laptop with one of the I5 processors that could not be upgraded to Windows 11. I decided to switch to the Apple MacBook Air 13 inch with an M4 processor. So far I am extremely pleased with the performance and ease of use. The start-up was amazingly seamless and the computer is virtually silent.

Great starter laptop with more features than ever this well designed lightweight aluminum design is better than most plastic pc’s. They upped the ram to 16 and the 256 ssd drive is plenty if you’re storing most of your info in the cloud. That will cost an extra 10 bucks a month but unless you’re doing serious editing or need more storage the base model is plenty. The M4 chip the latest from Apple is plenty fast and the graphics card supports most gaming without the overheat issue that fries other pcs. For a student or professional on the go this leighweght model should serve you well.

I made the switch from Windows to Apple. It is a lot of new things to learn but I am happy. I bought the base model MacBook Air M4 while on sale from Best Buy at $850. I also bought an external 2T SSD for $150. I have had the laptop for 3 weeks and use it for all the normal things like email, browsing the web plus making content for my YouTube channel. It seams to be faster than my PC for video editing. I do try to delete unused programs and files on the 250 GB internal hard drive to keep at least 100MB free. By doing this I hope I can edit multiple large 4K videos. So far so good. I wonder if I should have spent another $500 to $700 and bought the Pro. I love the small size and quietness of the M4 Air. I have got use to the no touch screen on the air after 2 weeks. At under $1000 it is a lot better deal than an iPad. So far so good.

Performance for the price is better than any windows laptop you could get. Super snappy, quick, efficient, powerful. Can do pretty intense stuff. Best spot for this device is students and basic work imo but it can do way more. Super light and sleek. Only downside people don't mention much is the display is a lot worse than something like a Macbook Pro or many other devices as it has a basic LCD display (as opposed to OLED or Micro-LED) so colors aren't the best and it has only 60hz as opposed to 120hz or higher, so screen feels sluggish to me which caused me to return and go with the M5 Macbook Pro. Excellent choice for college. I was a little worried on being able to download Microsoft word, excel etc. since it’s Apple, But it was so easy! The charge on this laptop is incredible. It lasts for a couple days. It’s sleek and lightweight. Software is excellent for everyday work or school use. Fast speed. 10/10 highly recommend to invest in something this good for the long run.

Great Laptop Size and priced best I have seen and been watching. I also have M2 15 inch and they each have benefits size wise witb the M4 a bit faster than the M2. Boyh beautiful Laptops. Best Buy had at the curb within an hour, adding in 2-3 month bonus’ Apple TV , Apple Music, etc. I have purchased 8-9 Apple Products at Best Buy over the years, as convenience, lowest price, repairs through Geek Squad, compared to Apple Store, Best Buy offers the better all round experience. Get same product, less lines and customer service to an individual, This M4 is a delight and ideal for any purpose.

I bought this to replace my earlier model that had a destroyed screen, thanks to one of my cats. It works pretty much as the old one did, but there are a few improvements I've noticed. The image area on the screen is slightly larger. The touchpad for signing in is larger. The keyboard keys have less gap around them so the crumbs from my breakfast don't get eaten by them. My computer use is pretty simple, so this is probably more machine than I really need, but I've used Macs for decades, and I've had enough experience with PCs that I won't ever go back.
