I spent years with windows, practically my whole life, but I longed to the connectivity of the Mac book with my phone and other Apple products (Apple TV, iPad, etc). It also runs all the programs I use flawlessly (Adobe suits, davinci resolve). No regrets

I found myself in the position of needing something powerful to move some very large files around. So I broke down and purchased this unit. Absolutely no regrets. The macbook fits perfectly into the Apple lineup with my use of all apple products. If you are not sure if you really need a laptop, this is so much better than just using an iPad.
