    Perfect MacBook for the masses

I've been using my Starlight 15" Air since launch day and as someone who has owned basically every Mac laptop made in the last 6 years I finally found exactly what I need in a MacBook. I use my computer for basic media and from time to time I'll do some intense photo editing but I'm the target market for the 15" Air and it's the perfect MacBook for 90% of end users. *Like others have said it's very close in size to the old 15" MacBook Pro of which I previously owned but it's much lighter and the screen is much better in comparison. I only purchased that computer for the screen as I never took that computer to a quarter of its potential at the time. *The speakers are AMAZING in comparison to my previous 13" Pro and M1 and M2 Air. The only MacBook that beats it was my 16" i9 MBP I had a few years back. Those speakers were louder and more full but bass wise I would put the 15" Air on par with those. *The keyboard is spacious and great to type on. Honestly I've never had complaints with any of my MacBook keyboards; even the old 2016 15" MBP I had didn't bother me but this keyboard is miles better than that. Still not up to par to certain ThinkPad models (T Series and X1 Carbon series). *Bright, beautiful screen and the notch doesn't bother me with the larger screen (it honestly did on the 13" M2 Air) and I don't see any of the issues noted on the forums with this screen. Again I've never been picky or had any problems with my MacBook screens (except for the 2nd Gen Air. Terrible screens). I have auto dimming turned off as I like to pick how bright my screen is. *I purchased the 8/256 model and I don't have any complaints at all regarding speed. I do notice a difference in SSD speed in comparison to my M1 Air I just returned to get this 15". When transferring files it's noticeable Apple is using the slower, single SSD in comparison to M1. Other than that particular instance it's very fast and more than enough space and RAM for me. Apple hit a home run here with the 15" Air. Nothing groundbreaking about the design or overall package in general but it delivers exactly what most users want from a MacBook: a big, beautiful screened laptop that doesn't break the bank. If this had been priced any higher than $1499 base I wouldn't have purchased one but I think the aggressive pricing of this laptop will make it a best seller very quickly.

Upgraded from a 2018 intel MacBook Pro and was impressed immediately out of the box. This does not feel like a 15 inch screen when carrying around in a backpack, or even the weight of it in hand. The screen is perfect for working in excel sheets and the overall speed of the computer makes it feel like a pro. Battery life is incredible. I not longer have to worry if I left the charger behind. It's gotten me through a full weeks worth of work on the road. Very impressed!

I'll star by saying we're fans of Macs in this house already, however my wife was still using a PC. She has the iPhone, Apple Watch, and AirPods Pro though so she had been considering switching to a Mac for sometime. Her less than two year old Samsung PC was already not holding a charge longer than an hour, so she started to expedite the search. She began looking at MacBook Pros, which are considerably more expensive than the Airs. I decided to do some comparisons to see if the MacBook Air would meet her needs. Oh, for sure it does. This thing is essentially a MacBook Pro now, just minus a few features. For every day computing, light gameplay, photo software needs the Air can handle all without issues. The harddrive is smaller than it should be, but that is easily taken care of with a USB-C external solid state. I mean, we back up everything to external drives anyway. She's had the computer for a couple weeks now and loves it. The design is gorgeous. The Air no longer goes to that weird thin point at the front, but has a flat look like most laptops. The color options are great, we went with midnight so it would standout from the other MacBooks in the house. She's adjusted to it quickly, and enjoys the programs that came onboard. She even was able to use some of her Steam games on the machine. Battery life is exceptional, and hopefully will hold up longer than her PC's battery did. Recommend if you are looking for a more affordable option to the MacBook Pro. Especially if you don't need that extra power.

Perfect 15" laptop for a lot of people

The last MacBook I had was a 2019 MacBook Pro 13". I passed that on to my daughter to use for college and went back to my Lenovo that I also love using. As that laptop is approaching six years old and I find myself deeper and deeper into the Apple ecosystem, I decided to go MacBook. I considered another Pro, but after I tried the 15" Air I felt like it was perfect for me. I love the big screen. Plenty of room to do split screen when needed and plenty of room to work on spreadsheets or presentations. It not the quality of the MacBook Pro screen, but I only noticed at the Apple Store when I put it side by side. Even then, I just didn't care. I got the base model Air and have had no issues at all. I don't stress the system either though. On a typical day, I will have 3-4 Microsoft apps open. Usually, Outlook, Excel, Word and maybe OneNote. Then I will have 4-5 tabs open in Safari, my calendar and Todoist open. Maybe Apple Music in the background. That's about as busy at it gets for me and there isn't even a hint of slow down. If you are a video editor or something, this may not be for you. For most people though, this is a great laptop and should be at the top of the list for anyone wanting the larger screen. If you don't want the big screen, go for the smaller 13". It should be known that Apple will likely update these to the M3 in the coming months, but I wasn't concerned with the minor upgrade from the M2. Especially when I go this for $250 off.

This MacBook Air is thin, faster, and I’m loving the battery life. It was very easy to set up. I’ve been an Apple Fan since back in the day when the iPhone 4 came out. All their products are the best to me and I love how they all sync together as long as the software is updated. This MacBook Air is great for anything that you would need for school, business, or personal. Definitely a five star rating.

Awesome! Went from being a Chromebook girlie To making the switch! Absolutely worth every penny. I can actually go at least 3-4 days without charging using it for about 12 hours a day. The storage is amazing . It’s never glitched on me. Highly recommend for college kids!

Previously i had the mid 2017 macbook air and could not decide if the upgrade to the new M2 air would be worth it or not, after buying it i can say for certian that it is. Lets start with the graphics, i didnt expect a huge difference here since the graphics on the older macs arent terrible but there is a massive difference. Not only is the resolution itself very much noticeably better but the color saturation/variety is on a different level. There are also several (for lack of a better word) "quality of life" additions that add up and make a huge difference. The fingerprint scanner is SO nice. It may not make a difference to most people but being able to immediately unlock my laptop without haveing to type in a code everytime is very convenient. Another are the battery life and storage. The battery life is a lot better, im sure a lot of that is because the battery on my previous laptop has worn down over time but the M2 battery life beats it even when it was new. The significantly higher storage is a huge help too and if youre like me only downloading documents/powerpoints/movies then the storage it has is more than enough. Lastly, the speed of this macbook vs the previous ones is very noticable as well. For normal daily use its perfect, I can have hulu playing while i have a chess game going and 5 chrome tabs open doing research in all of them and it wont have a hickup even once

This is my first MacBook and everything is performing as expected. I was able to transfer my documents with minimal effort. I’m enjoying all of the new tricks that I was never able to perform on my HP. The MacBook Air is exceptionally light compared to my previous laptop. I love that! It is absolutely amazing how all of my Apple products sync flawlessly. And the accessories are limitless with MacBook.

I decieded to buy an "Open Box" Macbook Air M2 15" from Best Buy and was very pleased with the service I received and the price I paid. This was an upgrade from my old Macbook Air that served me well, but I wanted the larger screen and more performance. This new Macbook Air provides all that and more, including an amazing battery life.

I love my new MacBook Air. The unit is very lightweight and slim so it truly is a comfortable laptop. It doesn't overheat and it is totally silent. I purchased the 15" but the 13" would have been fine. I went larger so I would have a larger screen, but the smaller would have been more easily slipped into my bag. The keyboard is comfortable, and battery life is incredible. There is no waiting for the computer to wake up. Touch the pad (or use password) and voila! It's on instantly and ready to go. I got an add-on CD drive and adapter because , like most laptops today, this unit doesn't come with one and ports are limited. The adapter allowed me to use a portable drive to transfer my data from my previous PC laptop. These extra components were inexpensive and only add bulk during the times I actually need them; not making the MacBook air heavier and bigger to accommodate those occasional needs. I got the basic unit which will be adequate for my needs.is My son is a senior software engineer (who would never choose to use anything but Mac) has assured me that this sufficient for me, though the work he does would justify going with the upgrades in memory, etc. That said, I use it a lot and store thousands of photos, without using the cloud. I prefer a different backup so I will add that piece.

Its 2880 x 1864 Liquid Retina display is stunning, delivering excellent brightness and color accuracy, though it falls slightly short in color gamut compared to some competitors. This macbook has been a blessing for all of my classes! It works super fast and is super lightweight so i always take it with me . I really love how big the screen is because i feel compared to other macbooks it’s harder to see, but the bigger screen is really worth it! For me, i think that’s what makes this laptop a 10 out of 10! Most definitely would recommend to anyone
