    Got this as a high school graduation gift for our daughter. She is an art major going to college for graphic design so the MAC has way more potential for her to work and grow with than a regular PC. This thing is a dream to work with and it puts the other computers to shame in the household.. Now I know what I am getting next. We love it!

    With my Mac mini dying out, it was time to get a new computer. My experience with Mac products goes back about 8 years, but recently I was willing to give a Windows machine a chance. I tried the Surface Pro and actually liked it a lot. The problem was the basic model I purchased was generating a lot of heat, which is not a good sign for new computers. It was easy to set up and use, but not the right solution for me. I then tried a high end Spectre from HP. It had all the bells and whistles and specs, but this one ran hot too. It ran hot doing nothing, I could only imagine if it had a serious workload thrown at it. The unit also locked up a few times when the facial recognition failed. I didn't want another Mac mini as they hadn't updated it in 3 years and one of my requirements was to run a 4k monitor. I bought the 13" MacBook Pro. If you've ever bought a Mac, the experience is unique in the packaging and quality build of the product. It's easily apparent that the MacBook is very well engineered and built with high tolerances, something that was lacking on the HP. Long story short, the Mac works like a champ for everything I need. Apple may not be the innovator they once were, but they still build high quality products that work well together.
