Absolute best purchase I’ve ever made in my life!! Best Buy offered an absolute steal of a deal that I honestly was skeptical of at first until I received the item. The MacBook was in pristine condition and I couldn’t have asked for a better purchase!

Best buy is the best. I placed my order online and it was ready when I arrived. I was greeted by friendly people who took great care of The transaction.

Migration assistant didn't work and I can't use the computer because none of my files moved, only applications. I'm disappointed but I guess the mistake was mine because I didn't buy enough memory. Quite a bad outcome but when you buy something online there's no support so I have a computer I can't use.

Excellent customer service by the two gentlemen. I have recommended them to my friends, unfortunately I forgot their names since I was traveling the same day. Two of them went above and beyond. They are real assets to Best Buy!!!!

For most users, this will probably be sufficient. With AppleCare+ and using the Mac for regular web browsing, email and probably very light multimedia use and office tasks, you should not experience inadequate performance and have a good peace of mind with warranty coverage (because surprise! Macs can and do fail). However, as other reviewers have noted, the value proposition here is minimal. Why? If you really need/want a Mac, the tasks that I mentioned would be done very well by a Macbook Air that is regularly discounted to half the price of this Macbook Pro here at Best Buy. “Pro” users definitely need more than 8GB of RAM and I would even argue more than 512GB of SSD storage. Apple knows this will sell though (and it will) to unsuspecting users. Please assess what your needs really are before purchasing this. You could be making a terrible (and expensive) mistake. I and many others are really not sure who this Mac would really legitimately cater to since it’s not exactly a true “Pro” device. Perhaps it might be for casual users who just really hate the Macbook Air? If you want to do “Pro” tasks on this device, you WILL see performance degredation due to swapping because of there only being 8GB of RAM.

Bought as a gift for my daughter. She loves it and says its exactly what she needed. She's a freshman in college, to give you an idea of caseload. Bought during Black Friday at what I think was a good price.
