It's compatible with the 9th generation iPad I bought and I am satisfied with the outcome: I can write in the screen just like I do it in paper and for animation it's a great option because of it's fine point.

The Apple Pencil 1st Gen has its pros and cons, and I'd rate it 3 out of 5 stars based on my experience. On the positive side, the pencil's build quality is excellent, as is typical of Apple products. It's lightweight, easy to hold, and feels comfortable in the hand. The precision and responsiveness of the stylus are impressive, making it a useful tool for tasks like note-taking and drawing on compatible iPads. the 1st Gen Apple Pencil is a decent stylus with good build quality and precision, but it has limitations and lacks some of the convenient features of its successors. If you have a compatible iPad and are looking for a basic stylus, it's a reasonable choice, but you might want to consider the newer models for added functionality and convenience.

i really haven't used it much so i can't really give much of a review. it was east to charge and use on my old iPad. i haven't tried it yet on my new one. i keep forgetting about it.

Premium apple product. Very responsive and natural drawing/illustrating feel when paired with iPad 10th gen. My burgeoning 7 yr old artist loves it.

I got the pencil while purchasing a new iPad. The pencil has a long battery life and works great for note taking.

Does what it's supposed to haha. I'm new to digital art so I a friend just recommended this to use and so I got it. Has good battery life so far.

Works as expected. Originally thought the second generation pencil would work on my 9th Gen iPad only to learn that the second gen only works on Mini and Pro Models.

Excellent tool all around for the iPad, being the first gen for the pencil, its still pretty solid!
