What do you do with the little white end cap while it is charging? Lose it, most likely. And the dongles needed, urg. Surface pen was awesome from the start. In this case, if you do not HAVE to use the 1st gen pen, don't. It's not worth saving $$. But as an input device, it's pretty dang good.
