The Apple pen was a solid choice. You can’t get a better quality pen to pair with an older Apple tablet than this.

I can write notes, edit images and video, write emails and make documents with ease. The batter last a long time The only two issues are the cap not being attached already to the pencil and the way it charges. Having my pencil stick straight out from the bottom of my iPad is bizarre and because the cap has to come off it’s so easy to lose! There are attachments to help both of these issues but it’s just a nuisance.

It worked very well with my iPad 8th gen. If you are like me and plan on going digital for your note-taking/planning, this will be a good choice. Something you need to get used to is that the material of the pen is a bit... slippery? I got a case for it, now it feels much better to write for long periods.

Best Buy could work on line management however. Waited in line for 30 minutes several folks in “online pick up” and only 1 in the regular line. With all the employees throughout the store, I was surprised no one called for back up. Wanted to leave but it was the last day of the sale and my daughter saved her money for this purchase
