It took several tries to get the correct Apple pencil for my Air IPAD, so be careful to check. Apple makes 3 different Pencils and each works only on certain of their tablet/laptops. The staff at Best Buy was really helpful is finaly getting me lined up with the right pen.

Honestly a TOUCH disappointed with the very promising Pencil Pro. I find myself putting it aside and just using my finger since at times it can actually be a touch annoying and doesn't QUITE behave the way I expect. Maybe I'm still just adjusting to it? If you're going to design & draw on your iPad, I think it's a 100% required investment. If you're going to surf the web and do email? Eh. Maybe. As a fancy stylus, it does add some neat functions like "hover" (the selection highlights when the tip of the pencil is an inch or so from the screen) but other times the "enhancements" are just annoying. Ex: sometimes when I just want to tap into the search bar of my internet browser, the iPad things I'm trying to write something and instead puts a period in the search bar. After a few frustrated swipes (and several random characters inserted), I just lay the pen down and tap with my finger. After a few weeks, I'm not returning or selling it, and perhaps with more time I'll better learn the nuances of its usage, but if I had to do it over again, not sure the Apple Pencil Pro adds enough functions to be worth the price. But, of course, your mileage may vary. (it *is* a very neat "toy" for coloring, scribbling, drawing... just... not sure I want it for much else, and is a bit expensive to just be a "toy") Oh, PS - The "magnetic attachment with charging to the top of the iPad" is neat if everything is stationary on a desk or couch, but pretty sure would fall off quickly during travel. Another "neat" feature that seems GREAT in the store, but in real usage? Eh....not sure.

The Apple Pencil was something I had been waiting a long time to buy. I was nervous at first because Stylus hasn’t always been a good match for me, but this was. It works very well and is quite easy to use.

Works great but I had to buy another one because I upgraded to a new iPad which is the reason I gave it 4 instead of five. Apple should address this issue with accessories.

Pencil connects easily and sits on the ipad to charge. I don’t use it much but it works well. Not recommended if you don’t take notes or draw on the ipad.

While this is a great pencil coming from the 2nd-generation Apple Pencil, I don't find it worth paying the full price. Maybe if on sale grab it, otherwise not worth the buy and purchace the usb c pencil.
