I received it basically brand new (even though I bought it open box- excellent condition). Doesn’t come with a charger however, not sure if Apple Pencils usually include one. You need the charger to use as an adapter. My iPad 10 charger was adaptable luckily.

Works great when it works

I have the Best Buy total protection plan so I scheduled time at Best Buy for repair. At appointment Best Buy advised that they CANNOT repair the tip and I have to take it Apple. And the total protection does not help only extended Apple warranty. Called Apple and the price to repair is same as new pencil!! Googled it and found a way to DIY repair with tweezers. Also saw that this is common problem according to comments.

Good product but screw Apple customers service

They basically tried to charge me to get a new one. Because it couldn’t be fixed.

Ridiculous that these things can’t even last a year before needing a replacement. Insane price for a non-durable product.
