Got my wife a new iPad and the old pen was just not the right option due to it being lightning connection. Keep this in mind when considering the new iPad with usb-c. The new pen has no cap to lose or keep track of and super easy to set up. If they go on sale get you one.

She even showed me the different things that she can do with her pencil. Even though I got it on sale it was still a good pric. My baby said that she was very thankful
