    Nice little gadget!

It's a very convenient little gadget - receiving my calendar alerts (and all other alerts, for that matter) on my wrist and not having to dig my phone out my purse is great! Not missing important text messages (the very discreet vibration you feel on your wrist isn't noticeable to anyone around you) is also a plus. Now, this is just the first Apple watch out, so definitely lots of room for improvement (battery life, for example) but I am enjoying my Apple Watch very much so far. I wear it at work (Mon-Fri) only, or if I go running. I recommend it.

Great SmartWatch Best One For IOS Users

This is a great watch hands down , but i will note a few things that needs to be said if thinking about getting a ios compattable smartwatch i have owned other smat watches (i.e. pebble , pebble steel) and this is the best watch to take advantage of ios features this far. bright screen very responsive and the OS is cool. But will say while Native Apps are still Developing it takes a moment for apps to open. And i didnt excpect to do to much on the watch , but it be a smartwatch. Battery life really depends on how many , games you try to play (on a 1.5 inch screen) of how active you are on it , i still charge it even thouh after a day a still have about 45-50% from nomal usage ....cause its a watch not a phone. Love that fact that it is customizable as well , but still gives it a refined look and not cheap , with the options avlible you get your money's worth.Great with notifications, mail , text(can text back with pre selected message or voice) & with siri on board gives it a new way to respond , The digital crown help with scrolling & Also using apple pay on the watch is quick and amazing.

    Great item

I would have to say the Apple Watch is a great purchase. This isn't my first smartwatch, I owned a Pebble and A Lyfe watch for a couple years. So I already knew what to expect about getting notifications on my wrist. I am a huge Apple fan and would have to say they met my expectations on the watch. I have had to watch now for a couple of days and everything is working great. I was a little worried about the battery life, bc that is what most negatives are online. You do have to charge it every night, but it will last all day on a single charge. The interface wasn't hard for me to learn like some people say. I would def recommened that if you are iPhone user and wanting a smartwatch, then the Apple Watch is a must buy for you.

Good Product - Not the Holy Grail

I am writing this review from the perspective of owning a Pebble Steel prior to this Apple Watch. The Pebble Steel did a fine job of showing notifications. It may even do a bit better than the Apple Watch has for me thus far. Having said that, the Apple Watch is more complete with Apps and other functionality built-in. I can appreciate the ability to get more data from the Apple Watch as opposed to mostly just showing notifications on my wrist. I would prefer that Apple allow all notifications to be shown on both the watch and the iPhone like the Pebble Steel does. I have not found a setting yet to enforce this, causing some alerts to only appear on the watch. There are many instances where glancing at the phone is easier than looking at the wrist and it is these instances where I really wish the alert/notification appeared on both devices at the same time. I suspect the next generation will be better - but for now I max this device at 4 stars. I think it is a solid purchase, especially at some of the holiday discounted prices.

    nice first version

I have wanted a smart watch or something similar for fitness tracking. I should have purchased this a long time ago. But BB had it $100 off and that made it a done deal. I've tried fitbit and Up for fitness tracking and they seemed lacking at what they could do. Plus they have errors and misreads. Some of the reviews say that the watch is slow and I have to agree if you are tryiing to pull up a function. But it is very quick if it is echoing a function from the linked iPhone. I have been using it for 2 weeks now and have no regrets. I'm sure at some point more apps will convert to haveing a watch app. For now it seems many phone apps that should have a companion watch app, don't, and many that do, you think Why?

I've owned my watch for 6 months, having purchased it at the Apple store, because it wasn't available anywhere else. I purchased the sport version, and then bought a stainless watch band on Amazon. Everything works perfectly, the battery lasts 16 hours or more, and charges in less than 2 hours. It's nice having everything you need on your wrist! Reminders, alarms and notifications can be customized as needed and apps can be turned on and off from the phone so they don't show up on the watch. Watch works on WIFI as well as blue tooth, so if your on any WIFI network and your phone is on the same or different wifi network, you can get text messages and phone calls on your watch if you are out of blue tooth range.

Originally came to the store to get my wife and I each a wrist activity tracker, but not wanting to have to wear a watch and another "fitbit" type band, checked into which ones offered a normal watch face mode. Salesman said to checkout the Apple watches (which I thought required a separate phone number and account, but they don't). I'm thrilled with the watch and the fitness tracking, including heartbeat, options are superb! Works with my existing iPhone 6 and my wife's iPhone 6Plus perfectly! Even though a new model comes out in a few months, this price was too good to pass on. I have the 42mm and she has the 38mm. If it had blood pressure built in, that would be even better, maybe the next model.

I bought the 42 because it's bigger then the 38...but the band's seam to be the same and the 42 band just needs to be long for bigger peop5

    Excellent Companion to my iPhone

I had a fit bit HR which I really liked but I kept getting a rash on my wrist. I read a lot of good things about the Apple Watch and watched the videos on Apples website before buying. I went to a Best Buy store that wasn't very busy and I was able to look at and compare the 38mm and 42mm. I decided to go with the 42mm SGS since I liked the way it looks on my wrist and the possibilities with other bands. The notifications is extremely convenient I am no longer reaching for my phone every time I feel or hear it buzz. The only thing I wish the Apple Watch did was sleep tracking but otherwise it's a great product. Answering calls and texting on the watch is also extremely convenient and easy to use.

When I saw the first gen go on sale for $189 I was sold as I was about to get a Fitbit HR. Upon going to the local BB they were out of the 38mm so opted to pay a little more for the 42mm. In just a week and os3 upgrade I could not be happier. It is such a great companion for an iPhone. I no longer even take my phone out of my pocket as I typically did that a lot to look at the time.

I bought this watch and thought I'll use it. But not that much. I was wrong. I use it for texting all the time. I answer my phone calls on it at work. If I'm on the computer I don't have to reach for my phone. I flip my wrist and answer and keep working while I talk. The fitness tracker is awesome. Use it all the time while bicycling. Tracks my miles, heart rate, calories. Etc. I've got about 250 songs downloaded to it. Would recommend getting Apple care. I did. $50 versus having to buy another watch in case something happens. Everything in my household is Apple. Keep it up Apple.

At first I was skeptical about the Apple Watch but decided to try it out due to curiosity. First off, is it something you absolutely need? No, but is it useful? Yes. Having worn it for a couple of months now it's become my go to for instant notifications and yes time. The main perk for me is being able to glance down at my wrist and see who or what's trying to contact me without having to reach for my phone. The other perks have been the health apps. All in all its served my demands and then some and would probably buy it again if need be.

Love the watch! I have had smart watches before and this one is the best. It is very light and you even forget you have it on some times. Battery life is not the best, I go about a day and a half at most before it dies. Great for workouts and tracking heart rate or steps. Does help to remind you to get up and move around, and it helps keep track of calories burned during workouts. Messages are easily read and with Siri on the watch it's a breeze to respond with voice. You can respond in multiple languages without a problem. Speaker is a little low on it when talking, but people will hear you clearly. I would recommend getting the silver one though. It is very hard to find bands that will match more with black than silver. Other than that I can not complain.

Works as advertised. Set up extremely simple, although it took a while to learn its capabilities. Looks stunning, sleek and very attractive. Apple Pay with the watch works great, just make sure when you unlock your iPhone, it unlocks the watch automatically too. No need to put passcode on the watch then. (As long as it's on your wrist!!) Great in notifications and instant replies without talking the phone out.

I have wanted a smart watch for years now. I was thinking about the Pebble prior to the Apple watch but it just looked like a children toy. The Apple Watch is great for a lot of things. GPS, Texts, email, etc... It's also much safer to check when you are driving than your iPhone. Great 1st generation product. The sports band is very comfortable.
