Series 1 is still decent when compared to the 2.

I truly believe the Series 1 is waterproof as well, but the Series 2 was marketed as such for the usual "upgrade" sales pitch.

I also love that it tracks my heart rate while running. I work 12 hour shifts and don't always have a chance to check my phone. With the watch its great to be able to look down and check a text message.
