It was pretty cool at first but I was needing an exercise device like fit bit and this doesn't work well unless you have your phone on you which defeats the purpose.

After receiving the watch and taking it out of the big white heavy box, looking at the little app face with all the circles, I thought, gees, I'll never use this thing. Put it back in the box and was going to return to the BestBuy store the following week. I decided prior to my trip to BestBuy, I'd take it out of the box and try it again. Paired it with my phone and realized I didn't have to have my phone with me ALL THE TIME to get notices, texts, phone calls, figured out how to customize the clock face to my liking. I don't have very good cell reception where I work so the iphone sits in a window with 2 bars on a good day maybe 12 feet from my desk . I used to have to get up from my work station and go to the phone to see who was calling or read a text. NOT any more! It all shows up on the apple watch on my wrist. I decide whether or not the call, text, notification is worth going to the phone or just answer the text or call via the watch. For me, it's a time saver as a big part of my job is reading text messages. Glad I kept it :) And I'm still figuring out all it can do.

If you want to track your fitness I guess it's alright. For the price it should be a little more stronger of a product

Apple Watch is a pretty great tool for parents who like to stay active and go to the gym. I was trying to decide between a Jawbone UP3 and Fitbit (either surge or charge). I ultimately went with the watch because it was on sale and very competitive to the other options while promising to do more. Apple does really well at integrating their products and health apps. I have no idea how well Jawbone/Fitbit's data is integrated with other apps, but I really like how my steps and movement data from Watch syncs with apps such as Argus and Lose It. The built-in Workout app is exactly what I wanted in a smart watch, and the Move app is informative giving daily movement goals. Battery life is my one concern. since purchasing, I noticed some settings that needed tweaking to conserve battery life on both my watch and iPhone. I easily get through the day on the battery, but I would like to see at least 2 days of heavy use on a smart watch. Battery life is always my gripe with electronics and Apple products. Have to compliment the Apple Watch OLED display. Love how the black looks and makes the colors pop. The lovely part of the watch is not needing to turn on phone for notifications such as time, messages, and glances. Apple promotes that this will lead to more productivity and quality time with the family. Sure, but I still think if you don't use it for fitness you probably won't get much utility from the watch.

I bought the Apple Watch as a gift for my wife two weeks ago and I'm a hero. She loves the watch. Packaging is similar to other Apple products, i.e., first class. Everything is well protected in the box. After opening the exterior box, you must remove plastic protection from every surface. As a result, the watch arrived with no blemishes. My wife's watch arrived with minimal battery charge and would not turn on until she charged it a little. Battery life hasn't been an issue, but I expected more of an initial charge out of the box. The lavender band is a little grayer than it looks online. My wife preferred this, but be aware. When shopping for her iPhone 6s, she considered the rose gold, but elected to pass at the time. She likes it on the watch, however. I believe you must have an iPhone to use the watch. When you first turn on the watch, you are asked to pair it with your phone via a scan of the watch's face. After initial setup, all of your watch-capable apps show up on the watch's face. You can delete any you don't want from the watch or, more conveniently using your iPhone (My Watch -> app -> turn off the option to show on watch). We are now looking at a couple of accessories - a stand charger and perhaps an extra band. Overall, we're very pleased with the purchase and would recommend it.

Love it but definitely not necessary to have it

I got the 38mm Yellow gold with antique band. I initially thought i wanted the Rose gold but ended up with the yellow and I am glad I choose it. The rose gold is VERY pink in my opinion. If that is what you are looking for then you will love it. The yellow gold is not overly yellow and is very subtle. It looks very nice with the brown leather band I purchased. As far as how it functions, it works pretty well. It was easy to sync and set up. I love the ability to make it your own as far as changing the face, what it displays and the color its in. I like different faces for different activities like work and going out vs exercise or the weekend. I took off a star because the Stand in the activity doesn't pick up accurately and I had issues with it not answering calls. There have been many times it has not sensed that i was standing and had been for a while. It does accurately pick up movement and heart rate. I think it is more accurate than my previous activity monitor (a Jawbone). Another thing that has not worked as well as i thought it would is answering calls on it. I have had a few times when I push the green button to answer a call and it did not sense it and the caller hung up before it finally worked. Notifications come through well. You can pick which apps you want to have notifications sent to it. I really like being able to see my text messages without having to get my phone out. I wish you could put your own short text responses in to have (maybe you can and I just don't know how to) but most of the ones available are useful. If they don't work, it usually would be too long to text on the watch anyway so you would want to do it on your phone. I have not been able to test out sending a message to another person with an apple watch because I'm the only person i know that has one currently. I have been very pleased with the battery life. It has never died on me and I have even had it last >24 hours (I was at work and did not use the exercise mode which does decrease the battery quicker). Over all I love it! Is it absolutely necessary to have? NO. Is it fun? YES. I get a lot of compliments on it and questions about it. Several other people are getting them after seeing mine.

The watch is useless if it isn't within a close range of your phone. The fitness tracking is terrible. Fitbit has them beat by a lot.

I've had this watch one week and I love it!!! I was looking for something to help track my activity which was multi-verstile. While this watch was a no-brainer, there were other activity trackers I contemplated for several months. Apple watch has many more features in comparison to others I was looking at, several features which I (happily) stumbled upon after my purchase. The only (possible) downside may be the battery life depending on your activity level, but this hasn't been an issue for me.

This is a great watch. It has a very sleek design and is very comfortable. In my opinion this is the best smartwatch on the market. You are in control of how many notifications you receive. The more I wear it the more intuitive it seems to be. I'm so glad I purchased this watch and it was on sale. I've used other smart watches and I did not like them because they really got on my nerves with all the unnecessary interruptions. I feel like the Apple Watch is very helpful with my daily schedule.

    Love my Apple Watch!

I did a ton of research before purchasing my Apple Watch. I was uncertain if I wanted to spend $350 on something that I didn't really need, knowing that a newer model is more than likely going to be released in a few months. However, the decision became a lot easier when Best Buy dropped the price to $250 for the Sport 38mm Rose Gold watch. I decided to purchase it and see if I liked it. Now that I have it, I love it. First, it's so pretty, with the rose gold watch and lilac band. It matches with pretty much everything, between the black face, rose gold frame, and lilac band (which is a very muted but pretty color). Second, I love the ability to customize it. While I don't use all the features on my watch, it is enough of an upgrade from my Fitbit Charge HR (although it doesn't track my sleep, something the newer generation Watch is rumored to do) that I am very pleased with the purchase. While my husband questioned why I didn't just wait for the new model, I am not at all disappointed. I don't find myself needing a watch that has all of the features of my 6s Plus iPhone (although I know that is what some people want). While I'm sure the next generation will have some cool upgrades, this watch was reasonably priced and has enough features for me to be pleased without feeling like I need to upgrade it as soon as the new one comes out. I did some research on apps offered through the Apple Store that also have Apple Watch capability. A few of the apps that are great on Apple Watch include: Shazam, Find Near Me, Dark Sky, and Yummly. Don't expect the Apple Watch to be an iPhone (you do need to charge the watch every night and it's not as fast as a phone, obviously) and you won't be disappointed. If you like technology and find having gadgets fun, I think you will enjoy this. If you like something that you can customize to fit your personality (watch faces, watch bands, apps, activities, etc.), you should like the Apple Watch. I know I do!

I have read and followed the instructions for this watch to get started. I put it in my wrist, tried to pair it with my phone and nothing.... It won't even light up. Nothing. So I put it on the charger thinking maybe I needed to charge it first. After several hours, nothing.... I plan to contact Apple and see if I can get help. If not, I am going to take it back. I need easy, not complicated.

I had first bought the watch a few months ago directly from Apple when I had dropped my phone while biking (before it was offered anywhere else), but purchased another for my wife from Best Buy. As I have loved the watch's ability to motivate my daily activity, be easier to utilize my phone when jogging/biking/exercising, I wanted to pass on that love to my wife, who already understands all the good things that I was explaining! While the fitbit is a great product as well, the fact that this links directly to my iPhone (texts, calls, apps, reminders, etc) is awesome!

I made the switch from a Pebble Time and so glad I did. This watch can do so many things and is so easy to use. It is very comfortable. I read a lot about the battery life not being good, but I put my watch on at 7:30 in the morning and don't take it off until 10:30 at night, still with a 30% charge. I use email, instant messaging, notifications, and health apps regularly. With the lower price of $250.00, it's worth the extra 50 bucks over the competitors.
