Didn’t work with Arlo Pro

May be because I hooked it up to an Arlo Pro. Not sure. The unit itself seems well made.

Thank you for feedback. We want to clarify that the Arlo Solar Panel for Arlo Essential camera is not compatible with the Arlo Pro camera. Also, although the Arlo Solar Panel is designed to keep your Arlo camera’s battery fully charged, heavy usage of your camera can drain the camera battery faster than the solar panel can recharge it. The 2-watt Arlo Solar Panel is designed to provide year-round trickle charging to keep your Arlo camera battery charged, not to charge your camera battery from low to full.

This item does not ACTUALLY charge the camera when it is connected. Supposedly it maintains the level of charge of the camera, so theoretically if you hook it up when your camera is 100% charged, then your camera should stay at 100%. But that’s not actually the case. I love in southern Arizona, it is sunny like 98% of the time. We have one overcasts day and the camera dies. One would think that if I hook up the camera and it has a 100% battery level, the the moment the solar “charger” doesn’t have sunshine, the camera’s battery level wouldn’t instantly go from 100% to 0%. It’s ridiculous. I don’t even know why I spent my money on this thing. I should have just purchased an extra king charging cable to keep it plugged in all of the time instead. More and more I’m regretting going with the Arlo brand.
