Excellent addition to our whole home security system and piece of mind. Integrates seamlessly with my previous Arlo system. I have a 4 cam Arlo pro2 system already and this took about 30 seconds to add into my existing account to be up and running. I really like that this device can be added as a free standing camera without the need for any “Arlo base station” if you just want to use it alone. This allows you to place it literally anywhere that you have a WiFi signal as opposed to the others which require proximity to the base station - my whole home Wi-Fi mesh system allows me to use this camera and extend coverage much further than what the Arlo base station allows. Setup was just charging for an hour or two and then linking it to my Arlo account which took about 30 seconds plus 1-2 minutes for firmware updates and then it was up and running. Mounting is a breeze, just 3 included screws and completely wire free. I haven’t had it long enough to comment on battery life but this device is much hardier (assuming larger battery to feed the spotlight) than the smaller Arlo pro 2 cameras I have. Once setup the Arlo app is simple and very intuitive to navigate and access the camera. Motion detection alerts anytime it senses movement so you can see what’s going on through your cell phone immediately. 2-way talk feature is nice but has some mild lag. I noticed the video and talk lag to be present pretty much no matter how strong the WiFi signal is so this is a bit annoying if you use it at the front door where you’d want to be able to talk smoothly with a visitor. Overall I’m very pleased with this camera’s features, ease of setup and ease of use. Key feature that I like is that there’s no need for base station and can be used completely on its own ANYWHERE you have Wi-Fi.

I have owned many Arlo cameras in the past and I have always loved them for their great quality and ease of use. This camera is no different,. Right out of the box you can tell its a solid, well made camera that will be able to survive the elements. I've had numerous Arlo's that I've had out for many harsh Wisconsin winters and they still work great! Getting the camera set up was very simple. Just open up the app and go to add a new device and it walks you through the process. Within a few minutes you'll be up and running, I put this in our backyard where we don't have any kind of porch light or anything like that. I mounted it to where I could easily get to it with a small ladder, but people on the ground couldn't reach it. The light works great for illuminating the backyard (we have a fairly small yard) and covered the whole yard with video surveillance. During the day there is very crisp and clear video and I found the motion detecting to work great. Didn't detect birds and things flying around, but did detect people as soon as they entered the converge zone. At night, I found the video to also be better than previous arlo cameras I've had. I'm assuming that's because of the added spotlight. Its nice to be able to see things at night in color. That would help in identifying people if there was ever a break in or anything like that. You could easily tell the color of their skin and color of clothes and things like that. Overall, I have been very happy with this camera. The installation, video quality, battery life...I love it all! I highly recommend checking out the Arlo brand if you are looking for a good cost effective way to monitor what's going on around your home.

Camera give good clear view. I would recommend Ring spotlight and doorbell.
