Arlo XL Spotlight Camera System

I had the Arlo 2 and 3 security camera, but it required a hub to connect to the cameras and didn't light on them. I love how the Essential Spotlight camera has a light on it and can connect straight to your wifi. You can speak through the two-way mic, and the battery life is longer.

No 5G connection

The instructions weren’t helpful in regard to having issues connecting it to the internet. The camera has to connect to a 4g network and won’t connect if you have 5g which is what I have. I returned it to Best Buy.

Disappointed in Massachusetts.

Also the camera only has good resolution out to approximately 15 feet. The owners manual is available only on-line and is not even mentioned in the "Quick start" pamphlet provided in the box when purchased. I had to search the Arlo web site to find the owners manual. I am not very impressed with this camera.

A smart hub is not needed. You can connect it directly to your wi-fi! The picture and video is clear and crisp. The two-way communication is the best. I love it! This camera is a 4 in 1. You can capture video take still pictures, talk to guests and they can talk back to you! The battery is holds the charge!
