Got this Expensive Gear for my home, Below are my observations: 1. For more active region the battery drains like hell, typically expect a recharge within 7-10 days. Even though there is solar charging option , that adds extra 50$ odd per camera. Hope it comes standard 2. Night vision is just average . 3. Most serious complaint is, when it is detecting any motion/audio there is a lag before it starts to record the event. most of the time , recordings are empty. Overall doesn't justify such a beefy price tag, As always Best Buy is great with their returns. Thankful to them ! Disappointed with Net gear for the first time ! Hopefully they see it.

Good picture quality and no wires battery seems to last a long time.

Very happy with the Arlo system except for one detail. The "lag" time between seeing and hearing something live. We receive notifications and e-mails fine, but it is maybe a minute or two after live action. I will try and click on live camera when I get a notification next time and see if it makes a difference. Otherwise we really like the comfort of having the Arlo system.

The Arlo Pro 2 cameras are a great set of cameras for security. If you want zones you do have to pay for an Arlo plan, but just hook up 128 GB USB to the base station and you can record locally. Picture quality is very good in the daytime, night vision doesn't go far out and leaves a little to be desired but overall still very good.

I've been looking for a complete wireless solution for home video monitoring. There are wi-fi cameras but most require a power supply which can make it difficult to place where desired. Where I wanted to place cameras it was either very difficult to impossible to route cables. The Arlo Pro 2 is a completely wireless solution having Wi-Fi connectivity and rechargable batteries. Because it's completely wireless you can place in almost any location to get optimal viewing to the area you want to monitor. One caveat, if you go completely wireless then you'll need access to the camera so you can take it down and recharge it with the included charger. The Arlo Pro 2 camera is chocked full of features: 1080p which allows for crisp images, nightvision , sound and motion detection, 2 way audio, IP65 certification for outdoor applications, rechargeable batteries, multiple optional mounting methods (using standard threaded camera mount). The cameras are connected via Wi-Fi to the Arlo base unit which acts as a dedicated hub. The base unit connects to the internet via a wired ethernet connection. The base also will accept a USB drive for optional local backup. Another great feature of the base is the siren. You can arm the siren to trigger when there is movement or you can trigger remoteley via the Arlo smartphone app (for iPhone and Android). Heck, I even discovered the camera is even compatible with Amazon Alexa although I haven't linked mine yet! For indoor use the camera has a flat rubber base so it can sit almost anywhere, tabletop, shelf, fireplace mantle, counter, etc. For outdoor use the Arlo Pro 2 comes with a quick-mount orb that fastens to a flat surface with a single screw. The camera attaches to the orb with a magnet that's embedded in the camera. While the orb mounts are okay for most applications I did find that the maximum range of positioning was somewhat limiting. Netgear does offer a fully adjustable articulated mount that will provide greater aiming flexibility but it requires that you screw the camera onto the mount. Setup was easy using the online guide. You do have to create an Arlo cloud account. To get the most out of the system download the smartphone app. The online guide steps you through the process and within minutes your cameras are connected. While viewing and recording is 24/7 you do have the option of scheduling alerts. With the basic free account you can connect up to 5 cameras and video is stored for up to 7 days. You have the option to upgrade your account to accept more cameras and have more days of cloud storage but for most the basic free account will be enough. All in all this is a very flexible and easy to use system. I'm still tinkering with setting so I don't get as many activity notifications on my phone. With dogs in the backyard I am getting a lot of alerts but I'm sure with a tweak of camera aiming and some scheduling adjustments I can reduce those significantly. We love our camera set up. I am that type of person that always wonders "did I remember to close the garage"? or "did I lock the door?" Being able to see the live fee of my garage to let me know it is locked is AWESOME! I also love that I can go into the logged videos and see myself checking that the door was locked when I left. No more of that nagging feeling all day long. The cameras are great when we have someone watch our pets too! Being able to see when they come and go from the house eases my mind. All in all we love these cameras!

Really pleased with the Arlo system. The app works well, the video quality is good and having the local backup in addition to the cloud is great. No complaints so far.

We as a family can see each other as we come and go away from home. We are aware of packages as they are delivered. It is a great product.

This is my second purchase of the Arlo-Pro 2 security camera system. I purchased this one for my sister who now works from home due to Covid19. She can view everything outside and inside her home with this setup while she is in her home office. She loves the fact that she can speak through the cameras and record. She is able to watch the kids and her 3year old dog Roscoe... She is happy and when she is away from home she leaves me access so I can view things as well. If you are looking for a DIY security setup this is the way to go.

Very spy with this camera system. I bought the four camera system and added one more camera. I love that I can see what is going on at my house when I’m not there!

This system is easy to install and give you a lot of flexibility. However the ability to clearly identify an unknown person at night is really lacking. I’ve tested several settings and none of them would get you the results desired to use in making a case on an unknown person. The price is higher than many cameras with the same quality video. Purchased in July 2019.

Works as advertised. Little expensive, but if you want to avoid hardworking and are ok to recharge batteries every month, they are worth the price.

A tad difficult to install but otherwise great. Would recommend.

Cameras were very easy to install...up and running in no time. App works great as well..wish night vision was a little better but overall great purchase.

Bought this system because friends have it and recommended it. Easy to setup and install. I want to add more cameras but definitely happy with the purchase.

Easy to set up and use your cell phone to watch activity. No online fee commitment necessary, but it is available. Even my mom @80 years old can use!!

The cameras were overall easy to install and they’re pretty easy to use.
