I’ve been really happy with this system.

The camera batteries came pre charged so I could set them up and start viewing on my phone via WiFi quickly. I find the user app easy and has high quality images. I thought the battery life would last longer, but since they are wireless and connected 24 hours they only lasted about 3 weeks before they needed charged again. Would reccomend a wired camera is local power is available. I didn’t have power at these locations. I can connect them to a hardwire at a later date when I get the time to extend outlets to the other buildings

Excellent cameras!

A best buy rep suggested the Arlos, after a but of research decided to get the 6 pack these are mostly getting installed outside for filming hummingbirds. The motion detection is top notch, the colors are amazing and we purchased these on sale for 799. We have has them up for a little over a month and they are awesome. The best camera we have used so far and we have had the logi circle 1, 2, and Nest. The pack came with free 7 days of storage, we ended up adding an additional camera and upgraded the plan to 30 days for a very reasonable 100 per year, well worth. Do not hesitate buy these cameras you will not be disappointed.

Nice cameras, but siren and 2 way are lacking.

My only complaint is the "very loud siren" and 2 way volume. The alarm s slightly annoying at best and far from anything that can be considered loud. This goes for the 2 way talk feature as well. You can barely hear it. If niether of those are important to you, definitely go for it. Great camera's aside from that.

Just What I Needed
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought the Arlo Indoor/Outdoor camera to put above my front door because somebody was leaving weird stuff by it. The Arlo camera was VERY easy to set up via the app. It is exactly what I needed, and what I expected. The picture is very good, and the sound is pretty clear. The night vision is also great, and the battery is still completely full after being setup a couple weeks ago. The only thing (which I expected) is that sometimes when it gets windy the camera picks up on the movement of my bushes. I also have a very curious wasp that likes to dance in front of the camera which will send me notifications. Otherwise, I am very happy with my purchase, however, I have not caught the culprit yet :) maybe the camera scared them off.

Great value, reliable camera security system

I have mounted these cameras outside under the eaves of my home. I have them connected with electrical power so that I have the full capabilities of the system such as setting up motion detection zones. The infrared capability is fantastic at night. I receive push and email notices on my iPhone when motion is detected. I can view in real time any of my four cameras the scene of what is going on plus record plus sound and microphone from my iPhone. I recommend the Arlo Pro 2 camera system.

The picture and video quality is great and I like the fact you have 7 days of free video storage to review and download. The batteries don’t last long especially if there’s a lot of activity. I also purchased the solar panels to keep them charged and to avoid taking the cameras down to change the batteries.

Awesome View

- A:Answer if you want it to record 24/7 it won't last more than a few days at best... you'd want to plug it into a power supply for that and it could go indefinitely i believe. The batteries work best as a triggered system that records only when motion is detected and shutting down after the event has passed... and probably best in an area that isn't supposed to be getting much traffic.

- A:Answer Yes, the camera is cordless/wireless. It has rechargeable batteries and you can choose to have it plugged in or not, but you will want to use this system wireless. That is one of the advantages of this system. And there are options to add additional services, but the system does not require any paid subscriptions or any monthly payments to provide a great security system.

- A:Answer This Arlo camera has come is SO handy for keeping an eye on my dogs while I’m out! I just went to my Library on the Arlo App from my iPhone and was able to easily download something that was recorded yesterday. It automatically saved to my iPhone Photos (even though it is the full video clip). The Arlo App automatically saves the past 7 days on a rotating basis, so if you want to download something to save permanently, just be sure to do it before the 7th day. You can pay for extended days, but if you can save it yourself, why pay that monthly fee, right? :) I don’t have an Alexa or Apple TV, etc.

Q: QuestionI have read two different things, do the cameras connect wirelessly to the BASE that comes with the system, or do they connect to your WIFI network? If it is the BASE what is the approximate range? Need about 100 ft from house, 150' from current router

- A:Answer You must connect the Arlo camera base station to your local network router via Ethernet.. The Arlo cameras communicate to their associated base station wirelessly. How far you can get from the base depends on many factors including where the base station is in the house (the base station is not for use outdoors).. You may want to start with one camera with one base setup, do a test, and then return if it does not meet your needs. You will also get a better idea of if the camera’s field of vision and motion detection range meet your needs. Note also the further the camera is away from the base may adversely impact camera battery life due to diminished signal between the base and camera. As a side note the Arlo lights are different. The Arlo light base station is connected wirelessly to your home’s network and communicates to the individual lights via bluetooth. Arlo lights can trigger Arlo cameras and the reverse, but that is handled within settings you make in the Arlo network via the app. I have multiple generations of the Arlo cameras/base stations with many cameras. I also have the lights. If you have the right expectations and benefit from the total wire free aspects of the cameras and the lights they are great products, BUT you should not be comparing them to a professionally installed high resolution security camera system that has panning and zoom, continuous recording, etc. As long as your expectations match the real features of the Arlo products AND you don’t mind “ladder work” when it is time to change the batteries (unless you add the solar panels) you will find they are useful and in many ways remarkable for what they are able to do.

- A:Answer This really depends on your home wifi router. This hub is piggy backing off of that connection so if you cant get internet out side where your mounting this than the camera is going to struggle to keep a solid connection. Router speeds need to be around 8-10mb/s to load and stream
