This is about the Arlo Pro 2. We picked up the 6 camera package as we have a very lartge house. The system was amazingly easy to set up -- less than 5 minutes per camera and that was only because the batteries had to connect to the base unit. The longest part of the whole thing was trying to decide where we wanted to place them! I love the magnetic mounts and the ease of pointing a camera exactly where you want it. The pictures are amazingly clear even on the "optmize" setting, which maximizes both the camera and the battery. The system is easy to arm and disarm by the tap of one button, and scheduling is also simple. The night vision inside the house is very clear -- not so much the camera on the outside, but we live in a very rural area so unless someone actually comes into the driveway and triggers the motion light you can't see much. But we put a camera outside EXACTLY for that reason, as we have motion sensor lights everywhere. I did a lot of research before deciding on the Arlo (replacing an old wired system we didn't ever really like) and am extremely happy. You don't need to be a major techie to set it up, either,, which makes it a great choice for everyone.

Great Camera System for around the outside of your home. No wires to run. The only pain is you have to take the camera down when you go to recharge the battery and each time you do that you have to reaim the camera's. Night vision is not that good on the Arlo Pro 2 so that's why I can't give it 5 stars. I heard night vision was better on the older Arlo Pro vs the 2.

Easy setup. Works great with our Google Home. No monthly fees. Only drawback is that our animals set off the sensor in the house. Would’ve given 5 stars if you didn’t have to pay for the zone features.

I recently upgraded from my old cameras to the Arlo pro 2 system. The installation and set up was the easiest I’ve ever done. Whether your cameras are near the base or far from the base with Arlo a simple Wi-Fi extender from Netgear allowed me to place them anywhere I needed them to be. The integration with Apple HomeKit was also seamless and allows me to keep everything in one app. With a very inexpensive monthly plan through Arlo I am notified when a package is delivered to my house or if a person is around. Arlo has a great thing going here and I’ve added all Arlo products offered to my system And it makes for a perfect security system. With a E911 features It allows you to call local law-enforcement right through the Arlo app as if you are home without searching for their numbers. You can also set up your system to contact a friend or family member in the event of an emergency if you are away. This is just another wonderful product offered by Arlo and of course your team at your local Best Buy. Good security on WiFi

Works as long as your WiFi is in tact and does not buffer. The amount of bandwidth this system requires with cameras is high. Great clarity and sound. However, it goes offline often and does not run consistently on WiFi. Would be better hardwired. Hard to catch those on foot approaching and still has not caught my mailbox vandal with more than 6 incidents. Disappointed on that front. I have had it for over a month now and it’s still missing important activity on my busy corner. It also doesn’t allow you to silence the notifications while still seeing them. Only disengagement. A huge issue for security. Due to the activity at my corner that is a huge drawback for me.

Some tradeoffs, but an overall positive

Things I was looking for: 1. Ease of setup. I don't want to crawl in the attic running cables. Those days are behind me. 2. Reasonable amount of cloud storage for reasonable price (7 days free definitely fills that). 3. Local storage option. Ability to connect USB drive to base station a huge plus. 4. Good Amazon Echo integration. Can see camera on Echo Show and Fire TV (although I mostly use Roku, I do have a FireTV which gets used occasionally. This makes it more useful). 4. Siren on base station a nice plus Trade-offs 1. No motion zones on battery power. May get some false positives when cars drive by. Lowering motion sensitivity can offset that some. 2. A little pricey. Waited for a discount and used some rewards points to offset.

I bought the two camera set so I could put one at my front door and one at the back. The front door picks up every car that drives by, regardless of the sensitivity level (I have it set to 1) or the activity zone (which is no where near the road). It is so annoying that I turn off the motion detection, which defeats the purpose of the camera, during the day. And there is a delay in the live view so by the time I try and talk to someone through the camera, they are already gone. Not to mention the battery life on these are barely acceptable. In less than 3 weeks, I am already having to recharge the battery. The only perk is that I did not have to run wires to make these work so I will have deal with the battery issue.

Overall I really like this product. It was easy to set up and the quality of the picture is great. I have four cameras and one of them is 100 yards from the base station and the reception from that camera is still very good. Also, the Arlo App is simple to use and provides the info you need. If you looking for a security camera system, I recommend Arlo.

They were so easy to install and set up. The quality it awesome and we love the features. The only downside is we have two big dogs and they run the battery down quicker on a couple of the cameras where they always run and hang out. We still cant believe the quality and ease of set up. I would definitely recommend the Arlo Pro 2 cameras and system!

System was very easy to install and connect. Was able to connect base station to by WiFi hub and then connect each camera to the base station in a matter of minutes. Mounting cameras is easy and they give a clear view of the areas I want. Software allows for monitoring while away as well as the battery levels for each camera.

Complaints first. -cant connect to regular wifi, can only use their hub. -the base station's wifi range isn't great -cameras can't roam between multiple base stations, have to be set to a specific one. -batteries last a few weeks, lost of trips to change batteries out. -**** easily stolen by neighborhood vandals (lost 2 so far) The good portable, easy to mount, gives you a dynamic security coverage. option for solar power so you don't have to swap batteries. image quality pretty reasonable. I would recommend these to SUPPLEMENT a wired security offering or if you planned to also purchase the solar charger kit.

Bought these to put in and around our chicken coop. The install was a breeze and they connected right up to the base unit and the mobile app. I have the cameras about 100’ from the base unit which is separated by 3 walls and very rarely have to wait for video. Video quality is good as well as audio.

From my experience so far, it does a good job capturing activity in both daylight and at night. I was torn between this system and nest but the ability to go wireless and 7 days of free cloud service were the selling points. You have the option to hardwire to get 24/7 monitoring so if that feature is important to you then you can get that too.

The Arlo Pro 2 camera set is incredible! I am extremely happy with my purchase. They were easy to mount and setup. Before my purchase, I compared the Arlo Pro vs. the Arlo Pro 2 and I am very pleased with the additional features the Arlo Pro 2 has. Additionally, I purchased a bunch of accessories to go with the cameras and wanted to give a massive "Shout-Out" and "Two Thumbs Up" to Arlo Team for the Arlo Solar Panel accessory. The solar panel keeps my Arlo Pro 2 cameras that are mounted outside my home charged all day long!

Did alot of research on the best wireless camera systems and I'm very please with my Arlo Pro2 system. Install was easy and had all four cameras mounted in just over an hour. I had to buy the adjustable wall mounts as the kit only came with one which was a little disappointing. It did come with four magnetic mounts but the angle options on the adjustable mounts is much better and more secure. I also purchased brown skins for the cameras to better blend with the house. I mounted them under the eaves to give them some protection from the elements. Have had the system for almost a month and I'm very happy so far. Battery life isnt fantastic in high traffic areas. Just at a month and one camera is already down to 15%. Luckily charging only takes a few hours. May invest in backup batteries so I can have them charged and just swap out or possibly give the solar panel a try. Setup various modes to capture video and send alert notifications. Night vision is pretty good. Overall very happy and recommended the Arlo Pro2.
