My original intent was to have a camera outdoors, to capture wildlife in my yard. I purchased a two pack, as I will also put one by my door. I like that you can add cameras whenever you feel the need. Easy setup. Works great!

I bought this to replace a Blink 2 camera that had a weak signal. The Arlo maintains it's connection much better however I'm using about 15% of the battery life each day so it will be lucky to last a week. This is in the front of my house so it picks up a lot of traffic. I bought a 30' cord to keep it powered but have to find a way to get it through the wall to the camera. The Arlo App is much better than the Blink app too.

These are an excellent investment. We really like the wireless aspect of this product, the clarity of the picture, and the dependability. We have used these cameras before and highly recommend them.

Arlo camera systems are expensive, but when it comes to ease of use and installation, they can't be beat. You can get wired systems with higher resolution cameras but good luck running all that wire. The main draw back to me is the difficulty recording footage and the price to do so online. CVS is EXPENSIVE and you're charged per camera. It would be nice to have a NVR attached to the base station (or an ability to do so) to round out the feature set

I bought these cameras to replace an existing 720P system. I was going to add two 720P cameras, but for the price of this system it was worth upgrading to 1080P. The system was easy to swap out. I just plugged in new modem and synched cameras to my wife's phone. My phone automatically installed new upgrade to my phone without doing anything. This system is very clear. I have seen others who have issues with running their cameras but I have one of the highest speed internet services and I see no issues. Would recommend this product for sure.

Good Camera System for Monitoring Your House

I purchased the Arlo Pro 2 with the intent to begin to build my own security system around my house. I looked at several other cameras and subscription services, but felt that Arlo offered the right balance of camera monitoring with low on-going fees. At first I set them up on several exterior doors and was just using the battery function only. I can easily get 6 months between charges on less frequent locations such as my front door. My Garage and Driveway were more frequent (3 months) due to activity. The app is easy to use and even with the basic functions gave me the right amount of alert options. After about 7 months I decided to upgrade to their lowest tier service for two reasons. Animal detection and custom activity zones. I also did like that I can now do e911. I didn't feel I needed it for the longer cloud storage as I felt the rolling 7 days was good enough and if needed you can attach external storage device. Somewhere in the first year my garage camera was just blowing through it's battery in a day. Alerts were really sensitive and even after making adjustments, I could never figure out what was happening. I had planned to connect that camera to a power source anyway. This just forced me to do it. Overall, I've been happy with the four cameras. The night vision is good. Alerts and ability to set zones, schedules for when the cameras are on and off are great. I also like that it runs on its own wifi network, so it doesn't run into competition from the rest of my household devices. I recommend this system to others all the time.

    Arlo Security System

We looked around at different security systems and several recommended Arlo. We finally decided that we had to try it. We are so glad we did! The clarity of night vision is great! It’s great at picking up sounds and easy to speak to someone. Sometimes there’s a slight delay but, only seconds. The daytime clarity is like looking out of your window and seeing someone! The ONLY thing we wish it did was sound an alarm at each camera instead of only at the main system. If someone comes around where they aren’t suppose to be, I don’t only want to let them know I see them with my voice. I’d like all my neighbors to be able to hear the alarm to make them aware there is someone trespassing! This could save a lot of phone calls.

Quality is great. We bought the wireless set. Be prepared to charge them at least once a month. Motion is so sensitive it picks up a fly. Image is clear. We love that you can talk through the camera.

This camera system works well. We use it at our place of business so there is a lot of movement and the cameras turn on often which means we need to charge them every 3 days or so. If you purchase them for your home then they should last longer. Make sure you have great internet service. We had to get a new router after purchasing them because our old one couldn't handle 4 of them.

I am new to the camera security world and I spent weeks researching for what to buy. I didn’t need a security system just something for peace of mind as there had been an attempted break in down the street. So far the cameras have been great and have given me insight of activity around my house. I opted to buy additional exterior mounts and power cables so I have my exterior ones always plugged in to get the 3sec lookback that really helps. The indoor one is kept wireless and it works fine. Originally I wasn’t wanting to spend as much money but after watching many YouTube videos I gave it a shot since it was on sale and I am glad I did. The benefits of the Arlo Pro 2 are better than the first version so go for the 1080p if you can.

I purchased this system for my business. Because of how easy it is to set up. I brought 1 more camera, 2 solar panels and 2 of the better mounts for the cameras. I have 3 cameras inside and 2 outside. The 2 that are outside have the solar panels powering them. Picture quality is very good. It has a wider viewing angle that most. There is about a 2 seconds delay on what it show to my phone. Mic works very good, you cant easily hear what the camera picks up. But 2 way communication is unusable. Speaker is noway near loud enough to be able to hold a conversation. Battery's last about 30 day before needing recharged. The outside one on the solar panels kept the battery fully charged. Although it says "to cold to charge battery" if its anything below 32 degrees out. It has still been able to keep the battery's fully charged so far this winter. I mainly use this system to alert me when motion is detected, when we are closed. It records a 20 second clip of the motion that set it off. It works great for that. But Arlo wants $9.95 per camera to record 24/7. In review I am happy with it. Aside from not being able to communicate a cross it and recording 24/7 is way to expensive it. it's a good system.
