I bought the Arlo cameras over Ring because they are versatile. You can use them wired or wireless. That was not the case with the Ring. I also didn't want to pay for access to my own videos for years, defeating the purpose of not going with a security company. The camera has a delayed response and at times the motion that set it off isn't visible in the playback. The camera is set off repeatedly on an overcast day when the sun moves behind the clouds. The sensitivity setting did not resolve the issue. I must say I do love my ring doorbell, but the video is slow to download compared to the Arlo. The Ring Doorbell does a better job of picking up motion, it has zones and the daytime view is much better than the Arlo.. I have not placed an Arlo cameria in the front with traffic going by since I believe it would be an issue with either activating too often or not catching the activity. The app could use better features such as being able to activate the cameras all at once without restarting the base station. The nighttime video is much better than the Ring, however, the intruder would probably not be recognizable. I cannot understand a conversation on the Arlo, but could hear a conversation on the side of my house with the Ring. I was unable to get the geofecing to work properly. I might be satisfied with its capability except for the price point. I was also disappointed that after my return date had expired, a new camera was introduced with more capabilities, but even more expensive than this already overpriced system. I would hate to risk replacing it to find the improvement not as expected for the price.

Best product hands down. Should’ve bought this product along time ago rather than getting ADT product. I can see what’s going on at my home rather than someone calling me and telling me there was activities at the back door “do you want me to call the police”

I purchased this camera to supplement existing wired cameras I have at my building. I found the the camera's placed with 30 feet of the receiver worked just fine but beyond that distance the signal wasn't strong enough to get good reception. I think the problem isn't with the Arlo but with the fact that the building is metal and it interfered with the signal. I purchased a signal booster and the cameras about 80 feet away seem to work just fine. It's only been installed for a couple of weeks but I'm happy with the result so far.

This system would probably be classed an entry level system. It does everything I want it to do at an economy price. Although some people are complaining about the system I can honestly say that I have not experienced what 95% of the people are seeing. Alot of people complain about Tech Support. I called tech support one time. We worked on a problem with my lighting system for almost 2 hours. The rep. was VERY knowledgeable, patient, respectful and persistent. The problem got fixed in 1 call. This is actually my second Arlo system. I needed 2 extra cameras for my existing system. The system with the base was on sale for a great price and the individual cameras were not. I saved almost $60.00 and I now have a backup base setting on the shelf, just in case.

The picture quality is good and they detect motion well... no issues In the first couple months and the batteries are lasting much longer than I expected. I regularly stream from several different ones and they seem to not drain any faster

Great picture quality. Use it as my home security and it alerts me on my phone every single motion detection. One thing i found amazing was when you can speak to the person on the camera through your phone. Very useful and worth its price

I bought the Arlo to help me keep an eye on parts of my property. The added benefit is that I have seen deer and fox walking around usually at night. The pictures are pretty clear and I can delete the ones I don't want to keep.

The 1080p resolution is really good. Night vision is good and clear as well. Very little dead spot for vision thanks to the 360degree mount. The cordless feature is really great for outdoor use.

So far we’ve almost had these cameras out for 1 month, and haven’t had to charge them yet. If you’re hesitant to purchase because of the rechargeable battery (like we were), don’t be. They seem to hold charge incredibly well! My only complaint and the reason I give 4 stars instead of 5 is the lag and difficulty of using the talking feature. It’s quite laggy and not always intelligible through the camera speaker, which could be a result of our internet? Overall, a great camera kit for your basic security needs.

Where we live the internet service is poor at best. We were looking for a security camera that was wireless and would work with poor internet service. These did the trick, Great camera. Good live videos.

Easy to set up and concept is nice to not have to worry about how to find a power source, especially when setting up in an old home. Was super unimpressed by battery life of the individual cameras. Defeats the purpose of being wireless if they have to be taken down to charge frequently.

      Hello cbmd,
Thank you for reaching out. We are glad to hear that you are pleased with the easy setup and concept of the Arlo Pro 2 cameras.
Arlo Pro 2 camera batteries last approximately 3–6 months with average use. Average use assumes that you are using Optimized or Best Battery Life video settings and that your cameras record for approximately five minutes per day. Increasing the length or quantity of video recordings in your camera's modes and rules decreases your battery life. For more information on how to optimize your Arlo Pro 2 cameras' battery life, check out: http://bit.ly/2p4WquW.

I already had the arlo pro which was a good product. I bought the Arlo pro-2 for my rental property. It is more motion sensitive than mine which I like. The picture quality is not as good as the Arlo pro. The pro-2 does have a better zoom the the Arlo pro. I still think that both cameras intercom to talk through is not that great. I can hear well on my end of the phone but when I try to talk with the person on the other end of my camera, it's not that loud. You almost have to be next to the camera.

The Arlo cams are great. Coverage is good, there is a slight delay in the feed but that's due to wireless connectivity. The video is good too, you can select the video quality. The cams have a wide field of view so one cam can cover a large area.
