Great cameras. Quality picture and sound. Replaced 7 year old cameras and very impressed with these! Much cheaper than our old cameras were.

In looking for a wireless camera, we found these that worked well. They are HD quality, can see well at night, charge lasts for a good amount of time. Might want more in the future but happy with this investment

CAUTION... 5 star for ease of use 5 star for easy install 5 start for easy setup That being said I caution buyers. I have had issues with blips in my power which knock out my camera. I called Arlo about this problem and spoke to a rep which informed me that it should reconnect automatically. I explained to him that it doesn’t and he said that it should be connect to a continuous power source..... So I need a battery backup? Should that come with it at least to keep the connection between base and camera until the internet is restored? Next problem was he asked for my email address which I provided. But then was able to tell me the signal strength of my cameras, the battery life. I don’t recall telling him where I faced the camera only that it was at my garage door. I don’t know if he was able to see the video. Idk maybe I’m just over reacting. But I feel that their should be a process to verify who I am not just with an email and a system which doesn’t allows representatives to access my cameras video feeds or stat levels without me giving Them an access code of sorts. I just caution buyers. Yes easy way to connect to home and monitor it. But how safe and secure is it.

    Best security cameras

I absolutely love this security system. Very easy to install and use. Only issue is that they only give you 1 charging port & short cable to recharge the cameras. I had to purchase 3 charging ports & 4 cables for an additional $15 each. But totally worth it when you are away from home for long periods of time and can't keep the cameras charged otherwise. You get a very clear view of an entire room. Sound is good too. Best part is there really isn't much of a lag from camera to phone, possibly 3-5 secs. I have noticed that length of recording can vary more than I expected. Sometimes it only records for 10 sec, other times it picks up an entire event. Don't know how to fix that part yet but it does what I bought it for so far. So happy with it I added on 2 more cameras.

This product does an excellent job, with clear pictures and video. The purchase of a spare battery and a charger is recommended to insure uninterrupted use. The solar panel works extremely well if the sun is right.

    Recording not consistent

Bought this for a relative who did the setup so I can't speak to ease of installation although sounded like it was simple enough. I did get to check recordings, which were not consistent. Some clips recorded for only 15-30 seconds although there was constant movement for a longer period of time. Sometimes it recorded for several minutes. And sometimes it didn't record at all. This is set up in a home with strong wi-fi signal but low bandwidth. Perhaps that is the problem. Overall provides some peace of mind.

Cameras look great but the battery life isn’t awesome, especially if they’re outdoors. Kind of expected that though...it is what it is.

I'm really happy with these cameras. I love the fact it also has night vision (which is something I didn't know it had). The only thing I would like to know is how to get it to stop getting triggered by bugs.

I rate these cameras a 4 star. They work great and I can see the outside doors on my house great day or night. The only reason it is missing a star is because I have had them since April 19th 2020 and I have had to charge 2 of them twice so far. I have tried to turn off just the notifications for 2 cameras "note they are in kids room and notify me for every movement." I cant seem to turn those off for just 2 but other then that the picture and sound quality are great.

I just started using it. It seems to be a great Product. But I reduced to 4-star because the mounting seems to be not that good compared to other products in the market. The accessories provided with the package are not sufficient. The charging cable is too short. No Battery charging station provided... As this has 4 cameras. The cost of the product is too high compared to the accessories provided.............. I might review again once I have more experience with the product.

The camera's have great picture quality with optimal light, the night vision can appear grainy, however, can view what I need to make out. My sense of security has gone up exponentially and I can keep an eye on my fur babies.

The a Slow are great. You will have to figure out the best setting for you as the come set to high and capture everything. Make sure you buy the dual charger or set them up near an out as the batteries are ok but not great

Arlo is an awesome camera system. Already had the Arlo babycam so it was a no brained to go with the pro for the house cameras. Everything is controlled off the San app and it was pretty self explanatory to set up. One month in and I have had zero problems with it so far. The geofencing option takes away the need to keep arming and disarming the system when you leave the house or come home. It uses your phone location to automatically arm it so you don’t have to delete a bunch of videos of yourself coming and going at you front door. Best of all you don’t need to sign up for a monthly service to save videos.

    Great Camera Security System

The Arlo Pro 2 security system is a nice package. It comes with the base unit, two cameras, mounts, ethernet cable and a charger. For home users, with no extra money, you can have up to 5 cameras on the system and 7days/1GB of cloud storage with 3 months support. If you want 10 cameras it’s $99 a year and 15 cameras is $150 year, but they come with more video storage and unlimited support. Business user plans can have more cameras and storage. I stayed with basic. Setup was quite easy. You have to install the Arlo app and it walks you through the process from there. If you have other recent Netgear products you can sign into your account. Plug the base station into an ethernet port and your off. The base unit does not do a static IP address, you can reserve an IP in your router if you want too. The batteries come pre-charged, so you can just plug them in and get running immediately. The package only comes with a quick start guide. I would recommend going online and reading the full manual as it goes over all of the features, camera placement etc for the system. After being walked through the setup process you are ready to use the system. First thing to do is install the latest firmware which takes a few minutes. The motion sensing worked day or night with no issues, and you can adjust the sensitivity in the app. Same for the microphone, speaker, ED lights, night vision, image inverting, control the siren, and camera setup. You make operational modes as needed, but it comes with Motion Detection, disarmed, scheduled and Geofencing as default setups. This can also be done through the Arlo Website. The only issue the website has is it needs Adobe Flash. HTML 5 or nothing for me, Flash is out. The cameras can do a lot, you can speak to people through the cameras and record what’s being said. On the back of the base unit are 2 USB ports. I stuck in an 8GB USB 2.0 memory stick. Once in, it asks to format it and then uses it to record video, so you don’t have to use the cloud. You can also hook up the device to IFTTT and Alexia. The delay from the camera to the phone is 2-3 seconds. Less on the setup and positioning mode. If the cameras stayed plugged in, you get more options like continuous recording. Unplugged the cameras are triggered by some event you set. The USB port on the cameras is covered by a plastic piece to protect it. The cameras snap together tightly, so no water or debris should get in. The picture quality is good in daylight. At night the cameras all preformed fine. The night vision kicks on and off seamlessly as I tested it throughout my house in different lighting conditions, and the range is good, with walls in the way. Unless I was on the other side of my house and outside, I had good connection. Once I walked back into range, the camera was picked back up with no issues. Since the Arlo Pro and Arlo Pro 2 are the same size, all of the Arlo Pro accessories work for the Arlo 2, mounts, batteries etc are all available. The package comes with magnetic mounts, if the camera will be in an area where you’re not worried about theft they are good options. If not, the cameras have a screw hole in the back to mount to other devices. Overall what made these package is the app and HD cameras, it guides you through the process and has the system up and running quickly. The picture quality is great. It’s intuitive overall and easy to use. The system comes with a charger and mounts, all you need for a basic setup, and with a USB stick and under 5 cameras, you can do local storage for free. The temperature range for the cameras is listed as -4° to 113° F (-20° C to 45° C). By default, it starts with the motion detection setting on, so your phone will get bombarded with alerts if you start testing it immediately. But, that’s easy to change.
